We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our Freedom, die in vain!!
Yesterday, a 7.9 magnitude quake struck Alaska, south of Fairbanks. The quake was felt as far away as New Orleans. Only one injury has been reported. The Alaska Pipeline is intact, but shut down this morning. Some support structures are broken about 50 miles south of Delta. Damage exists on the Alaska Highway. There is also some damage to the Parks Highway, as shown in the following photo:
Zogby has Jeb Bush with a 15-point lead going into the last day before the election.
Mondale still leads Coleman, but only by 5 percentage points.
Carnahan and Talent are tied in the Zogby poll, both at 46%.
The New York Times is conceding the Republicans will likely make gains in the House.
And authorities are investigating whether a shooting in Clinton, Maryland, was related to the sniper. While previously not believing that to be the case as it didn't fit the MO - the victim was shot several times at close range, but still managed to survive, authorities are taking another look because a laptop computer owned by the victim was among the items recovered from the sniper's car.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Zogby polls Voters.
That is a big difference from the other Pollsters!
I have never been polled and I do not care for polls. Zogby is generally pretty good from what I know.
I find it interesting that this year that everything seems so close in so many places.

Carr Brothers Guilty! That's for the horrific murders/rapes/robberies in Wichita. An early story is saying they were found guilty on 93 of 97 counts.

Zogby is generally pretty good from what I know. Zogby had McCain winning the Republican primary in South Carolina over Bush. It was the next primary after New Hampshire where McCain had bested Bush.
Zogby had McCain winning South Carolina until election eve. Then Zogby released two polls on election eve night. His last poll at 11pm on election eve showed Dubya would win.
My Experience is that some zogby polls are right on. But if he wants media attention then he does a couple of wild ones. He usually corrects them at the last minute.
But I put little faith in Zogby polls. This year he was hired by Democrats to poll for them in all the close states.
There is an old saying. He who pays the pollster calls the tune. That is not far wrong.

No kidding. What a way to wake from your nap! Oh, well, it got me back in here in time for 5PM!!

Just got off the phone with girlchild; she's back in France. She filled in lots of details about her adventures in Italy.:)
To: MozartLover
Oh, good! I hope when you have time you can fill us in on what she's been doing!
To: Common Tator
I think that you make very good points. TY.
Personally, I believe (and have for a very long time) that polls are intrinsically bad.
I wonder just why people respond to them! I certainly believe that thinking persons should not respond to polls.

I have muted the tv, and am preparing for a few moments of robust prayer.
May God be with us all.
