AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 607) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 19, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 09/19/2002 4:08:35 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The UN is likely to grant Iraq a full year under an "inspection" regime before it is willing to say Iraq is "non compliant" and seek other courses of action.

British newspapers are concerned the UN will become irrelevent if the US acts unilaterally.

The Sun reports former PM Major as saying the United States would respond to an Iraqi use of WMDs by conducting an above-ground nuclear test in the Baghdad area.

And President Bush is sending to Congress a resolution that will authorize him to act soon with military force, notwithstanding the UN concerns, in the event Saddam does not quickly relinquish his WMDs.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

Girlchild called this afternoon; things seem to be going pretty well. Her host family has a piano so today she found a music store and stocked up on piano music. She still has trouble with getting lost; luckily the old part of the city, where she is living, has a stone wall around it........when she "hits the wall" she knows she has to turn around and try again.:) She can now, however, find her way from her house to school without getting lost. No small achievement for one as geographically impaired as she.:)

Yes. That's the one ... but I would improve on it a wee bit ... we'll join together ... robust and nearly middle-aged ... LOL! ... with many years ahead of us to use towards wiping every single aspect of his despicable influence on our Country off the political and moral landscape and consign it to the maggot infested dung hole where it belongs ...

I want 2 times ... ( at least) ... more years ahead of me than he had in office ... after he is gone ... to celebrate the day.

If he kicks it in Summer ... I see pig roasts ... in Winter ... stuffed goose ... I want it made into a National Holiday ... and I want to enjoy the date he departs over and over ... and then over again.

Close enough for government work, as they say! It's actually one who loves and studies lighthouses.

Jane, you will probably find this thread fascinating ......

Fascinating! Thanks for the link!

I just heard on the car radio that PBS will begin re-airing Ken Burns "The Civil War" series on Sunday.

I am going to insist we tape it this time. That was the high point of Mr. Burns's career, I think.

I managed to see perky Katie on Donahue a couple of times last night. My, what a lovefest Katie, Phil, and Matt were having. It was disgusting to watch...

No Jane, it was his series about Baseball!! And even that wasn't as perfect as the game itself...But still pretty neat.

Avignon, sur la pont! Has she been there yet??

Thrilled for her ML. All the preparations she made and her determination to get there...She's going to get so much out of this trip and her studies.

Thanks for the light house link kay.

Pretty amazing.

I saw 2 lighthouses on Nantucket back in June....one had a plaque on it: Restored with the Help of Sen. Edward Kennedy....UGH! Guess that means we all got to help pay for it...

I must remember to program out MSNBC on my remote. I programmed out ABC last week on 911 because Peter Jennings was so obnoxious. I was just kind of channel surfing last night, and it seemed every time I hit MSNBC, there was Katie Colic, trying to look like a real hard-nosed reporter. She fails miserably, she just looks diagreeable.
