We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The UN is likely to grant Iraq a full year under an "inspection" regime before it is willing to say Iraq is "non compliant" and seek other courses of action.
British newspapers are concerned the UN will become irrelevent if the US acts unilaterally.
The Sun reports former PM Major as saying the United States would respond to an Iraqi use of WMDs by conducting an above-ground nuclear test in the Baghdad area.
And President Bush is sending to Congress a resolution that will authorize him to act soon with military force, notwithstanding the UN concerns, in the event Saddam does not quickly relinquish his WMDs.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Girlchild called this afternoon; things seem to be going pretty well. Her host family has a piano so today she found a music store and stocked up on piano music. She still has trouble with getting lost; luckily the old part of the city, where she is living, has a stone wall around it........when she "hits the wall" she knows she has to turn around and try again.:) She can now, however, find her way from her house to school without getting lost. No small achievement for one as geographically impaired as she.:)
I want 2 times ... ( at least) ... more years ahead of me than he had in office ... after he is gone ... to celebrate the day.
If he kicks it in Summer ... I see pig roasts ... in Winter ... stuffed goose ... I want it made into a National Holiday ... and I want to enjoy the date he departs over and over ... and then over again.
Yes ...lace bugs are common ... but the solution is simple. This pleases me!
Jane, you will probably find this thread fascinating ......
Told ya so.
I just heard on the car radio that PBS will begin re-airing Ken Burns "The Civil War" series on Sunday.
I am going to insist we tape it this time. That was the high point of Mr. Burns's career, I think.
illstillbe ~~~ I don't know if you've discovered those cute veggies yet or not ..... but one of the leading characters is .......

No Jane, it was his series about Baseball!! And even that wasn't as perfect as the game itself...But still pretty neat.
What are you? ..... a masochist?
Thrilled for her ML. All the preparations she made and her determination to get there...She's going to get so much out of this trip and her studies.
Pretty amazing.
I saw 2 lighthouses on Nantucket back in June....one had a plaque on it: Restored with the Help of Sen. Edward Kennedy....UGH! Guess that means we all got to help pay for it...
