AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 606) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 18, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 09/18/2002 4:08:57 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our Freedom, die in vain!!

Gulf coast residents - watch Tropical Storm Isadore. It has potential to strengthen considerabily and be a Category II system by the weekend.

Senate IML Daschle has dropped his delaying tactics on a vote for war with Iraq. The House and Senate leadership are to have a breakfast with the President to begin work on a resolution, today.

The most recent Gallup poll is out - the President's approval rating is at 70%.

The State Department says that Cuba has been deliberately giving the United States false leads in the War on Terror in an attempt to be disruptive.

Janet el Reno decided it was time to concede. Gov. Bush's reaction to the election was that he was pleased that 65 of 67 counties got it right this time, and that the other two will get it right in the next election.

The ACLU has sued Sissonville High School because it forbid a student from wearing a t-shirt with what it considered disruptive language. Here is the language the ACLU wishes to defend:

"I pledge the grievance to the flag
Of the United State of America
And to the Republicans whom I can't stand
One nation under smog, indespicable
With liberty and justice for some, not all."

[Never mind that "indespicable" doesn't fit.]

When UOx42 left office, he cut a deal with the Independent Counsel. Part of the deal was that he wouldn't seek reimbursement for his legal fees. According to the New York Post today, UOx42 has now submitted a request to do just that - he wants the taxpayers of the United States to underwrite $7.8 million in costs associated with his defense. In addition, Monica has asked for $1.2 million, and Vernon Jordon - who helped poor Monica find a job - wants $303,000.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Your opening is so jam-packed with information that we don't need an update today, Chair, anyway. I was quickly brought up to speed this morning, thanks to your efforts.

Glad Jeb had a good rebuttal to all the whiners ... 65 of 67 got it right, indeed! As to one of the other topics, typical X42 behavior ... does that person ever keep his word or stop holding his hand out?

gulfcoast6, you're so buff! As to the bbq grits ... LOL, NO THANK YOU! Stay safe and dry. Our prayers are with you. BTW, thanks for the continued reminders to hold our nation and president in prayer. Hearing how tired and serious President Bush looked this morning has him weighing even more heavily on my heart than usual. What a comfort it is to know that he has the routine of spending time each morning in prayer and reading his Bible and that he is receiving wisdom and guidance from above as he leads our nation.

Mr. M, you're doing one of my most favorite activities today, visiting a Civil War site. Sounds like an excellent idea! Enjoy. I'm looking forward to a report tonight about your outing.

Molly, thanks for all the great links! Saw your mention yesterday about book fees for your college boy. I can sympathize.

DJ, DallasGal, what's the latest?

Are you still here?

I would have been here earlier but I was grinding beef at Di's.

Why aren't haven't you left for calculus yet?

I've searched the stores here for hearing aid batteries, but no luck. There is a flight to Australia tomorrow and I've asked the pilot to bring me back some.

Love,
Mom

Thanks for asking about daughter. She's doing well except she's experiencing too many PVCs and has to see a cardiologist on 3 Oct. She says I shouldn't worry.....that it's no big deal. Ha!

"Mornin' Ya'll!!! Betcha ya'll thought I wuz gone fur good, Huh?

Just checkin in to say HOWDY!!! I sure have missed you guys!

Neets: Nice new screen name. I like it!

I've got a new job (finally) that I really love and lets me make a few bucks at the same time. In fact the Blonde likes it so much, she's in training in Knoxville for the next 3 days to do the same thing. I only work 4 days a week and no nights. It was tough getting ends to meet in the past months but as the Blonde says....Those jobs just weren't meant to be. Maybe so.

Anyway, I can check in a lot more often than before and catch up on all that you guys have been up to.

So.....WHAZZZUPPP???

with closely spaced bars!

Sounds like Janet Reno's favorite street.

With all the talk about the McBride Reno race, the Democrats are hyping McBride. I posted the following line last night. I have trying to find an exception. There are not many.

A candidate who barely gets more than half of his own parties votes in the primary, almost never gets over half of BOTH PARTIES votes in the general election.

I don't think Pataki has much of a problem in New York. But in the Democratic primary Cuomo fell by the way side. In contested primaries a candidate must have enough appeal with his own party to win comfortably. There is the mantra that contested primaries are bad. It is contested primaries that are barely won that are bad.

The only cases I can think of where a close win might not hurt is if a right wing Democrat pulled out a small victory in a Democratic primary and go on to face a leftist Republican in the fall. But the example of McCain shows that a leftist Republican can't win against a conservative Republican in the primary. Just as a leftist Riordin could not win against a right wing candidate in California primary. I am not at all sure a right wing Democrat can even defeat a left wing Democrat in a Democratic primary.

But McBride is way to the left and will have no appeal to the right. If half the Democrats prefered Janet to him, how can he beat bush. I think it will be very hard for McBride to win or even make a respectable showing.

I do think that many voters in Florida must see that there is corruption in southern Florida elections. I would think that would be a major motivating factor for the right. We have to win big enough so the Democrats can't steal it should occur to lots of people on the right. I should think that might be an effective way to get out the vote.

How about this for a get out the vote slogan.

It takes lots fo live Repubicans to out vote all those Dead Democrats on election day!

Good to see you! I was afraid that you had forgotten all about us. Congratulations! That's great news about the new job, it sounds like you've found your niche. I agree with the Blonde, those other jobs weren't meant to be. It'll be great having you around more often again. You've been missed.

MP, as I have said, he has the entire weight of the world on him and they are trying to kick his feet out from under him. They have been a able to 'con' other presidents but not this one, he sees them for who they are. The democracts have put the UN over our nation, in other words, the UN votes comes before taking a stance for US, the american citizen---backfired too, turned around and bite them on the butt didn't it.

Prayer is so strong, it asks God to give the powers of heaven to help him, all in the name of right, and let me tell you something, when our 'friends' walk out on us, God walks in. We are at a point that we have an entire muslem world turning against us and power they unerstand, brut, vicious, power. To free Iraq can and will have an effect on all those dictator other arab countries and after all, thats the name of the game with them, they are shaking in their boots, PLEASE take the time to pray for him and, ask your church to do the same, its important, very important.

The outing is Friday. I will try to remember to report in, Lorena.

Molly, thanks for pinging me to that article on church membership, a topic I'm interested in.

Local talk radio is having a hey-day with the false reporting about the invitation for weapons inspectors. Still not a peep out of the Tennessean that the invitation is not unconditional. MRC Cyberalert went after Jennings for still not reporting that, too.
