These people live in completely distinct areas. The bottom end of a huge canyon separates them. No way they could be considered in the same neighborhood.
Say, I haven't bought the National Enquirer but have learned that the FBI is criticizing SLC PD for its emphasis on Ricci as the perp, and not expanding their investigation - that the FBI WILL find the person responsible for Elizabeth's abduction/kidnapping.
So, I apologize for one of my posts, stating "the FBI has been a laughing stock for years." If the Utah FBI is more competent than many other districts, more power to them. Overall, the agency could use some really good publicity, & I wish them well.
I thought early and posted it was possible Moul might have been in on the job with Ricci with his reponsibility being to tell LE the Jeep had been in his shop all the time. Under this scenario he may have chickened out and decided to keep the records accurately and when LE came in to see him he told them the truth about Ricci taking it and returning it all dirty. This would explain why Ricci didn't bother taking the evidence out of the Jeep until it was in Moul's lot. Also if Edmunds were involved this would explain why the neighbor he was parking next to noted his green Saturn was always perfectly clean, I though he might have washed it every couple of days at Moul's car wash area. Ricci wouldn't be able to tell LE Moul was in on it without implicating himself. Even though Angela makes fun of his talking neither of the Riccis has railed on Moul and accused him of being a liar, only that he is mistaken. This could be because Moul knows enough to pin the kidnapping on them if they push him.
The problem with this theory is the way Moul has given such damaging testimony to LE on Ricci, like the dirty Jeep and wearing the machette. If the information he gave led to Ricci being charged and convicted Ricci would have given Moul up out of revenge.
Is this in the NE?
Grand Jury testimony is not available to the public -- as you well know.
That's great news, lakey! I've been complaining forever the police seem to want to protect whoever the guy is with the white baseball hat. I had heard implication and wondered if there might be a rift between SLCPD and the FBI on the case. Actually I'm not sure how much the FBI has really been involved aside from providing profilers early in the case and working on the video from Shriner's at their lab in Quantica, VA, although Ed Smart has from time to time talked about his conversations with the FBI on the case and having disagreements/not thinking they're moving fast enough. If the SLCPD were hiding something I think it would much more likely be their own screwup to save their own hides rather than some Mormon bishop. The FBI has been a laughing stock in several cases since they came under the influence of the Clintons.
I don't know any more facts about that allegation than you or anyone else does. I have read the daughter was 16 years old, which is not exactly a child.
He did testify before the Grand Jury but we have not been given what that testimony was. All statements made by Mr. Moul that we've discussed are from the media. We can assume that his testimony is essentially the same with any of his inconsistencies cleared up. It is possible that he gave the GJ much more information than we are aware of. It is possible that his testimony was vastly different than what he told the press. That is not likely though because spreading falsehoods would certainly hurt his business. I believe that once he's testified he can no longer talk to the press about it.

Thought you and several others on this thread discounted all reports from the NE as tabloid trash. Now you like what you hear from NE?
Speaking of reality, not law. Moreover, never heard of any charges regarding this allegation by an ex-wife.
I think it was a girl friend and I've never heard of any sexual charges being brought against your bud.
On the NE website, there is a headline from the current issue proclaiming: "Utah kidnap mystery solved!" But of course, there is no access to a link. Guess those who have inquiring minds will have to buy it to find out details.
