There had to be something that SHE SAW that would have them choose this particular age range.Probaby, IMO, because she had seen this person BEFORE, maybe briefly while on a run with Liz, perhaps wearing the same clothes, so she had an inkling of his age and voice, even if she didn't clearly recall his exact appearance.

Oh, heaven forbid that the exhalted Moul may be a shady character in this all-star tragedy after all!I recall someone, maybe scaredkat, said she visited Moul's and it was NOT a place most people would care to leave their vehicles. Gathered it was poorly operated.
To: Sherlock
She says she called on the day the electronic fuel pump was repaired, this was May 30.She did NOT say what day she called.
To: varina davis
"Neither could the call have been made on the 31 of May or the 1st of June since Ricci had already picked up the car."--by Home Educate
"It could have been later since she didn't know the car had been picked up--by someone, not necessarily Ricci."--by Varina
Okay, Varina, you're saying Angela's call to Neth's could have been made after WHOEVER had picked up the jeep.
Supposing that were true, what would have happened? Moul or whoever answered at the auto place, would have checked on the status of the Ricci jeep. Yes, I know, "two or three white jeep." Do you think when he said, "I have two or three white jeep," that Angela just said, "oh, well, then you can't possibly tell which is ours, so just forget about it?"
I'm sure she said, well, look, OUR white jeep is the one with the fuel pump repair, check your invoices. She may EVEN have said, "Ricci. The name is Ricci." At least, Varina, that is what any NORMAL person would have done.
So then the auto shop person would scramble around and find out what the status of the Ricci jeep was. He would scratch his little foreign head and say, holy shyte, this lady call about jeep, and jeep not here on our lot! Lady sue us bigtime!
Then he would have consulted with the boss, and they would have had to tell Angela, gee, we're sorry, uh, your jeep doesn't seem to be here...we'll call the police and make a report.
We hear nothing of a police report on the missing jeep. We hear nothing of the slightest fuss being raised by either Ricci, about their jeep just suddenly being GONE. We hear nothing of the Riccis threatening to sue Neth's if he doesn't get that jeep back, b/c it's obvious it was HIS negligence that led to its loss. NOBODY RAISED A FUSS, apparently.
It doesn't compute. I would like to see someone ask Angela why she didn't take any action against Neth's when she realized that Neth's had allowed their jeep to just disappear from the lot. Who sits back and lets an auto repair place LOSE their vehicle, even if it does turn up later? What about all those miles? Miles cost money. If it happened as Angela seems to say it happened, why no complaints from her for what clearly seems a rip-off of her and Rick, by someone?
To: varina davis
"Moul's...was NOT a place most people would care to leave their vehicles. Gathered it was poorly operated."
And yet the Riccis appear to have gone back there, time after time.
If there were any shady goings-on at Neth's, it wouldn't be the first time an auto repair shop had such things, including possible "side" businesses, going on.
I have no personal knowledge whatsoever of Neth's, and 100% of what I say on this subject is opinion/guesswork, but there have been auto "repair" places that have had chop shops on the side, drug dealing on the side, gambling, you name it. As I said once b/f, I know of at least 3 separate places (some, body work places, which are even worse) that I've had the bad fortune to have contact with, in which I either knew there was a felon on the premises, or strongly suspected it.
Oh, this is varina I'm talking to. So I predict you'll say, "well then you are no better than you say the Riccis are, about going to shady auto places." The difference is, varina, that regarding those places I went where there were/might have been, felons, I only went to each, one time. I didn't want to deal with them after that.
To: varina davis
It could have been later since she didn't know the car had been picked up -- by someone, not necessarily Ricci. Duh. If it were later don't you think Moul might have mentioned to her it was no longer there?
To: varina davis; home educate
"Moul has not given 'testimony'"
According to news reports, in addition to giving TV interviews, Moul has appeared in the grand jury. That's testimony, Varina, as you well know.
To: varina davis
Moul has not given "testimony," he has talked to TV reporters, which is vastly different. Moul wasn't called by the grand jury?
To: Jolly Green
"Ricci was a prince--someone who always treated women with tenderness and consideration."
Yes, I'm surprised Angela wasn't filmed saying tearfully, "good night, sweet prince," as she kissed his lips one last time at the funeral.
Oh. Wait. I forgot! She couldn't do that, she'd already had that quick cremation...
And let's not forget another alleged instance of Ricci's "tenderness and consideration" towards "women": the allegation by a former girlfriend that he was just a little too "tender and considerate" with her underage daughter.
To: varina davis
She did NOT say what day she called. Oh, I knew you wouldn't get it.
To: Sherlock
"If it were later don't you think Moul might have mentioned to her it was no longer there?"
Thank you, Sherlock, for making this point so succinctly. I wish I had your "succinctitude."
To: Jolly Green
About the milkman possibly having mistaken Edmunds' Saturn for another model of car--
Thanks for the explanation. Anything which serves to clear up the very confusing "266" stories is greatly appreciated.
To: Devil_Anse
I wish I had your "succinctitude." Ah, isn't English great. You can just bend it a little here and there and BAM!! ya got a new word.

Re: David Smart's weird statement about not to "get distracted"
Okay, it sounds weird. Don't you realize that the Smarts have a weirdness gene in their family, which makes so many of their statements sound off-the-wall?
I mean, is David supposed to be in on the Big Plot, too, along with Ed, Tom, and Cynthia? David has facial hair, you know. I thought the "abductor" had no facial hair. I guess that just leaves Cynthia--if we want to be absolutely sure.
To: Devil_Anse
Thank you, Sherlock, for making this point so succinctly. I wish I had your "succinctitude." Well, it's just with some people it doesn't help to spell it out. This isn't a situation where you explain something in plain English and one of these people will say, "Oh, I see, you're right." That would be honest. I would hope for their sakes they realize the truth. Interestingly a defense attorney cannot legally argue a possible scenario if they know it didn't happen.
To: spore-gasm
why does this come as a great shock to you? you'd rather choke than admit Moul may have been doing some underhanded repair jobs, like not completely fixing what he said he fixed; or that the vehicle was a piece of junk. Oh, heaven forbid that the exhalted Moul may be a shady character in this all-star tragedy after all! Sherlock, Devil-Anse, sandude and I will all buy into your theory IF you provide just one little shred of evidence to support your theory. Just one!
To: Jolly Green
Just one! Ah, excuse me Jolly, but I might need two. lol

Just as possible as the chance he saw it as an opportunity to unload a piece of junk. Why doesn't your half-baked theory even consider the fact that Ricci had the opportunity to drive this "piece of junk" every day for six months and decided to buy it anyway. Wise up!
To: sandude
It always amazes me when I see someone who expresses themselves as well as you do S-G take such cheap shots at Moul. No surprise here. She has had an agenda from her first moments on these threads.
To: Jolly Green

What is it with this loyalty? Is Ed Smart an ex-con? Has Moul been incarcerated?
