AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Days 595 and 596 - Weekend Edition) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 7, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 09/07/2002 5:26:42 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The Washington Pravda is reporting this morning that the President intends to tell the UN that, unless they take "quick, unequivocably strong action to disarm Iraq," the United States will have do the job by itself.

And a case of West Nile may have appeared in Los Angeles, which would be the first in the western United States.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Barbara is not President, but she helped a fellow become one and she raised one. She instilled God, Country, Honor and Honesty in our present President. I am very grateful for that. She raised her sons to be responsible, thoughtful men, not weasely critters.

I do wish, if we do bomb all military installations into oblivian in Iraq, disperse the troops, we bomb the palaces of Saddam too. I wouldn't be surprised if he is using those facilities to produce some of his weapons of evil.

Yes, we can still count on most of the Brits. I'm lurking on a book list right now that have a couple of Brits, and they are whinging (complaining) mightily about the US, Iraq, and Tony Blair. Of course, those two think the US is the font of all evil in the world today...

Naw, there is already a flame war going on, and threats to leave the list. I find it quite amusing actually to just lurk. It's turned into an American vs Eu type of flame war, even the die hard US liberals on the list are mad at the Brits. :)

I wish a few more atheists had spent time in a foxhole.

Back for a few minutes...

Utah Girl...sorry about you're being at work...

Dog - That item you posted the other day about the 4 fighter jets available on the 11th...Was that from the Gertz book??

My cousin called awhile ago with a proposal to eat out with them tonight...2 adults, 3 children...plus us 2.

A little tired but we haven't seen them for a few weeks, so we'll freshen up and hope for an energy surge.

It's been wonderful and surprising having them in the same town as none of us adults started out here.

Nice evening everyone!

My wife and I used to work with a woman who for many years had a wonderful summer job through which she got to meet many, many famous and influential people, from scientists to politicians, and artists to philanthropists. She could name-drop like no one I'ver ever been around. But she made it clear that the biggest privilege of all those years of rubbing shoulders with them was meeting and becoming friends with Barbara Bush.

In 1992, when we were living in China, our friend sent us a photo of Bill Clinton with her. She was doing her best to smile for the camera and look happy to see him because he was on the campaign trail and asked specifically to see her. I was dying to know what she really thought of him and later I got the truth. She couldn't stand him the first time they met, said he was aloof and arrogant. And when she had to go meet him the second time, it was all she could do to keep from telling him, "I wouldn't vote for you if you were the last person on earth."

The only former presidents who have commented negatively about this administration's handling of Iraq and all things terrorism are the vaguely cognitive peanut farmer and The Dope From Hope Who Liked To Grope (credit W. on the latter).

The only former presidents who have a vested interest in deflecting blame from themselves and their administrations for the events leading up to and including September 11, ( I hate it when folks abbreviate that day ... minimizing it, they are) but I digress ..

are, yes ... the, RABBITS ARE TERRORISTS ... turn down the thermostat! ... sick, contagious, criminally insane cubans make the very best immigrants and are a shining example for our Country ex-prez and the ... give me a cigar ... give me some bongos ... I'm still standing ... prez.

It can be argued, and is, that #41 should have sealed the deal ...there is misjudgment and misconduct ... and then there's treason. #41 was guilty of the first ... the other two were guilty of all three.

George W Bush is his own man ... tempered by his upbringing ... and his mother's influence, to be sure ... but his history shows ... he took the road less traveled, in his famliy ... which landed him at the doorstep to destiny.

How he handles this is yet to be seen ... but I will take a man willing to stand on the rubble of September 11th ... the only one in sight without a hard hat ... figuratively saying, "Come and get me" and call him ... him ... his own man.

I'm a Mom ... I am not sure I raised such a boy ... mine took the best of me ... and then ran with it. *grins*

I talk too much ...
