"We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail."......President George W. Bush "If not us, who? And if not now, when?".....President Ronald Reagan "This kind of war, you've gotta believe in what you're fighting for."......John Wayne as Colonel Madden (Back to Bataan)
I've got you under my skin.....sounds like a song I once heard :))
I didn't even think of that. Really unusual for me. I think I need another cup of coffee.
Did you all see that story about the CEO from New York, and the penny? I loved it, and told everyone that story yesterday. It made my day!
Best of all, after I read that story yesterday morning, I drove to school, parked the car, and started to head into the building. As I was walking across the parking lot I spied a penny. I immediately stopped, found the words, In God We Trust, said a prayer of thanks, and put it in my pocket! Small miracles never cease.
I will be glad to re-tell the story if you don't know what I am talking about!
The question has to do with what is unique and subjective about our various experiences vs what is transcendent and universal over time, place, etc....But need to sort it out more and frame my confusion in an understandable way. LOL!
Right now I can't even remember what triggered the other day my awareness of the discrepancies...Pathetic!
Welcome back!!!!!!
How is the weather by you, sweetie?
We have been blessed with warm days, and cool nights. We are heading into my favorite time of year. I just love Autumn. Rememberences of hunting all day with dad and my brothers, in forests of crimson and gold, bringing home the grouse, and watching dad clean the guns, while sitting in front of a blazing hearth brings such joy to this fair son.
The geese are starting to stretch those wings as they begin to prepare for their migration. I watched 3 flocks land in a field yesterday morning, as I made my way to school. Best of all the field was shrouded with ground fog, so the geese just evaporated into the fog as they landed. Incredible sight!
I see that the lawyer's cars are bigger & better....
...and I understand the tobacco truck....and certainly the ambulance chaser...
....but the pizza delivery?
Pizza... fatty foods... the lawsuits against the big fast food corprations?
Could that be it?
Whoops... Corporations
That's better!
Husband who (ahem) is slow getting going this morning AND listening to NPR (ahem..ahem..)just reported this to me:
Linda Wertheimer said that those people who have been briefed by the Administration on the Iraq situation appear genuinely shaken.
