Doing the math -
From the Washington Post:
The Last Time We Saw Parris
It was stomach flip-flop time for Maryland's nervous primary candidates, but lame-duck Gov. Parris Glendening was chilling out yesterday morning when The Post's Matthew Mosk caught up with him at Glendening's polling place a few blocks from the governor's mansion in historic downtown Annapolis.
"For the first time in 30 years I'm not on a ballot, I'm not at a campaign party, and I actually feel very good about it," the two-term Democrat told Mosk after voting -- presumably for his loyal lieutenant governor, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. "I'm going to be sitting in front of the television ... and I'm going to have little Bri on my lap, and I'm going to point at the candidates and say to her, 'Good,' 'Bad,' 'Good,' 'Bad,' and by the time November rolls around she's going to know who to cheer for."
Bri is the nickname for Gabrielle Mona Glendening, the 3-week-old daughter of the governor and his wife of 7 1/2 months, former top aide Jennifer Crawford. In previous elections the governor voted in Prince George's County, where he had served as county executive, but that was before ex-wife Frances Anne Glendening took ownership of the couple's University Park house.

Tropical storm Fay is all gone from here now - we had a brief power outage from it (just long enough to mess with the clocks)
This morning after a calm weather night I noticed a neighbor had a HUGE tree branch down covering half the road. It didn't come down during the wild weather a few days ago, but last night when it was still and dry.

also in the Washington Post - a tidbit about the featured speaker at the FRiva convention:
Who was that blonde coyly tilting her head to whisper sweet nothings into dinner partner Al Haig's ear as Henry Kissinger gave a dour disquisition on Iraq during Monday night's National Interest magazine celebration at Washington's Nixon Center? Radio talk jock Laura Ingraham, who later pounced on war opponent Brent Scowcroft to give him a piece of her mind, we hear.
