Giving priority to what is most important, I have decided to swallow my pride. I had a dustup with a moderator. I lost. Though I think the moderators need a tuneup they ain't so bad really. I depend on them to keep this site from becomming a free for all whacko hate site. I used to push the abuse button quite frequently on my fave undesirables ... anti-semite, haters. I notice they're a bit thin around here lately.
It is most important that Free Republic live and thrive. It is less important that I get things my way around here. Though I do not agree completely with the proposition that it is Jim's site and he can do with it what he damn will pleases ... It's as much our site, collectively, as it is his now. Perhaps Jim does ride herd a bit too hard on this creation he gave birth to. Fact is I don't know. I simply don't have enough information.
But it is a given that FR is the best there is at what it does. If it's only my morning paper and a place to exercise my verbal skills ... it's worth supporting. Now is the time for all level headed thinking FReepers to come to the aid of our wounded friend ... Free Republic.

However, all are welcome here, and I don't try to get people banned, unless they are psychos. Thanks Miss Marple for guarding the gates of FR on behalf of us Freepers and keeping the forum safe from psycos. It's gotta be a tough job.

Thank you.
And what little "tweak" might it take for you to complete your conversion?
I may, just may, mind you, find it in my FRee Republic "persuasion toolbox."

But that is just me.You aren't alone.

It is a sight to behold isn't it?
To: WRhine
You are free to ask Jim and the moderators how many people I have asked to be banned. I always sign my complaints.
very few, and none who are currently in the eye of the storm. The few I did ask for banning were obvious dispruptors.

And I love you too.

I do not expect Jim to defend my positions to the exclusion of all others, merely because I am a donor. I would hope others also could come to that point of view. Well stated, as always MM.

Jim invited him back, and seems most of the posters want him back. Why do you worry so? If you don't like his graphics, don't look at them. He could have come back, if he wanted to, 2 or 3 weeks ago. He wasn't banned, he was given a time out, and it was deserved - he's said so himself, although not on this forum.
There was no need for any of this discussion about Registered, and I think it's just added to some of the existing divisions here.
The graphics in general don't particularly bother me, posting personal information about other posters does, and posting graphics ridiculing other posters (rather than, say, liberals?) could be considered counterproductive, wouldn't you say?

Personally, I think my 12 year old daughter does a better job photoshopping than some people who shall go unnamed, has a better sense of humor, has the discretion not to post personal info of other people over the internet, nor is she so sanctimonious that she'd have a small squad of people screeching for her return after banning. No offense OPH, but maybe you can get her to start posting for you then.
Lets let it rest for today.

I recognize good material when I see/read/hear it, and I cannot take credit for that thought. Gene Burns (at the time, he was a Libertarian talk radio show host in Boston. He later was the President of the Talk Radio Show Hosts of America) introduced me to that notion in 1991 in a powerful speech he made to a National Retail Sales Tax group in LA.
He also quoted Chief Justice Hughes: "As life is action an passion, man must engage in the action and passion of his time, lest he be thought to have never lived."

I would love to hear the justification from those such as yourself that tell other people to "give it a rest" with a fist to the gut.
What nerve !!!!!!!! Can you say "HYPOCRITE"?
