Now that I'm thoroughly medicated, it's time to leave for an owner's meeting of one of our properties. Oh joy.

This may be worthy of a story when I return, or you may read about it right here on FR. I hate those idiots and the way they don't take care of their units. (Unbeknownst to them, there will be an assisant D.A. along with the police department's district representative to assist with addressing some problems. heheh) ltrs

rofl they are bloodhounds (big dogs)
I too would be in heaven if they were 7 bassets

I think Lulu is smitten with Happy
it's not every day you meet a hippy who is also a lover of german classical music
and dont forget Happy listens to ''Dead Air'' (the music of the grateful dead) all night on friday night
on Saturday mornings he enjoys his blue grass
and he is an aficiondo of public radio
Lulu is an Arkansas lass, who looks like she'd be at home in a whore house in New Orleans
she enjoys bein' with a sensitive intellectual like Happy
Love, Palo

I hope your new medication does not cause you to fall asleep and miss all the action

Well, if it must be a hound, and not a basset hound, bloodhounds are indeed joyous...I love their wrinkles, and they also have that sad look that bassets have...so bloodhounds are a close second to the bassethounds...some hounds I dont care for much, such as the Basenji, and whippet, and some of the other hounds...tho I do like the Irish Wolfhounds, and the Afghan Hounds, and of course the ever popular beagle, which is also classified in the hound group...I think there are actually about 20-25 different dog which are classified as 'hounds'...

Oddly enough, very seldom has any 'hound' won the Best in Show, from the Westminster Kennel Club competition...I think a representative from the 'Hound' group has won only 3 times...I think that the terriers have won more than any other group...there are 7 different groups....only one group has won Best in Show fewer times than the 'Hound' group, with only 1 win I believe...

I am sorry, I just dont care for terriers at all...apologies to all terrier lovers...my heart belongs in general to the hound group, and in particular to the basset hound....

Happy swim Palo, may todays attempt at swimming be more successful....

Well, perhaps Lulu, the slut, is content to be in love with Happy, the high class Hippy...they live together, so they may as well be in love....

Well, Loddy, it sounds like you may have tale of high drama, police participation, and a DA...hope the meeting does not get too rowdy, and break out into a fist fight, tho that would indeed be exciting...we are expecting a full report...

Good news.. My eyes are perfect, almost. Bought new sunglasses (bifoculs) but I still only need Walmart glasses for close up.. Al's eyes lost a little in closeness but actually gained in distance.. So... we are all set, glucoma and pressure wise too.. Whew!!

I have dryness which has been the reason for the pain.. She gave me drops and gel for it.. Seems it's a woman thing..

Glad your eye check went fine...Both BigDom and I have cataracts, tho they are very small, at least at last eye doctor visit, so will be curious to see if they have gotten any bigger...as long as they stay small, and dont interfere with vision, they do nothing...but should they keep growing and cloud our vision, then we will need cataract surgery....

Hopefully, when we go this winter, they will have good news...no glaucoma or anything else wrong....just need glasses for reading and have some small cataracts...

hi cookie
hounds have a way of getting under my skin
first Lulu
now I love the sight of those 7 big hounds hanging their heads over wall when they see Lulu in yard across from them
it is joyous sight
cause they are big hounds
they make Lulu seem so petite

swimmin' was nice
Sam (Samatha) found my amethyst bracelet in pool
she was wearing it
clearly she loved it
so I gave it to her
she is head lifeguard but quite young and sweet

Sally was there, she said she joined the raquet club
it is $47/month for one person, $67 for two
so she joined up herself and Felix
Felix isn't crazy bout swimmin, but he loves sitting under tree with book and shmoozing with people
city pools are not designed that way
there are no trees, no shade, no chairs, and you're not allowed to have food there
of course our pool is big, deep, wonderful and right under mountains
as Sally said it's nicest pool in tucson
but she and Felix will be happier in country club

I'm thinking of joining too for me and Bill, cause Tucson changed its mind again and went to putting price 4 times
country club costs half of what city pool costs
it has lotsa amenities
plus pool is open 24 hours, not just two hours in mornin'
so we can swim when we want to, not on schedule of pool
rofl bill thinks lifting weights is fun, he wants to do that
Love, Palo

Arent bloodhounds great? they have those long ears, oodles of wrinkles, and a very soulful sad expression...and they are excellent trackers, what with all those wrinkles holding a scent, and they have a wonderful nose, first among dogs...they do have long legs tho, not those short, stubby, chunky, thick, lovely legs of the basset hound...but they are wonderful dogs, and I am told, they make excellent pets, when not tracking, preferring to hang out, being 'couch potatoes'...

That was so sweet of you to allow the head life guard, Samantha to keep your bracelet...dont give too much of your stuff away, tho, you will be left with out adornments...or is that your way, of buying yourself some new things?

So Palo and Bill are going to join the country club, and are going to be part of the 'country club set'...and all that weight lifting will put Bill in good shape for his resuming of his 'caving' adventures...

Having access to a pool 24hrs a day, would be great...midnight swims would be romantical, dontcha think?

yes andsymom I have fallen in love with hounds
at first I found them not pretty, but now I am addicted to how they look
plus they have big sweet hearts

I don't know if the Tucson Racquet Club is really a country club
I've never belonged to a country club
a girl who swims at pool was member there for 3 years, she said she loved it cause they have nice restaurant which serves delicious hamburgers with glass of wine
Sally isn't on internet, I bet she'll have a snack, a glass of wine, and spend her afternoons there

you are right on the money, when I gave Sam my amethyst bracelet, I thought I'll go to store and buy myself new bracelet
I love shoppin'
I am not unadorned, I still have 6 bracelets on left wrist, 4 on right wrist and rings on all fingers
dont forget my rattlesnakes' kissin' necklace
and my navajo silver dangly earrings

rofl westy just sent me email
fredericks of hollywood is having their sale
he's so funny

Hi Gran...I have no idea how traffic is in the Northeast...I use to run the freeways if I was making a big jump otherwise puttered along on the backroads or byways...Your RV was bigger than anything I ever had, so again have no idea how much of a hassle it would be...Guess it boils down to how much one wants to RV....My ideal RV would be a 4X4 diesel pickup truck with a service body and Alaskan camper, but then I like to go off the beaten path....
.......Westy....
