Well.. I've started enough trouble.. I think I have to head upstairs.. It's been a long sort of tortuous day.. I hate getting perms.. ;) Of course shopping really does me in too.. LOL LOL LOL...ayah...

Well now I have to thank you for cursing me.

I was sitting here with the door open and the dog out on his run (he usually runs free but I tied him tonight for some reason) I heard the neighbors dog start barking up a storm then my dog went Nuts!

I leaped to the door and turned on the outside light and found myself just a few feet from an easy 300# bear. He had walked right past the dog before he was noticed and made it up on the porch..the dog got himself tangled up long enough for me to get to the door and spook the bear even more. Well then the dog gets himself unstuck and goes straight for the bear.

I grabbed his run cable as he went by and just got him reeled in as the bear was going up the Oak tree on the shore. Once I got the dog reeled back onto the porch the bear made a mad dash across my neighbors porch and down the shoreline..last I heard of him was someone a few cabins down yellin "OH SH*T" I can't believe the bear actually made it by the dog and to the front door!! Let's not talk about critters any more OK..I think someone here is phsycic.

Thank goodness your dog is ok...sounds like a frightful thing to have happen...

Well I do hope there will be bears at the mass awakening.
I like bears just not when they are at my front door..**adreneline still pumping and dog firmly entrenched by the door with ears pricked up.... hehe*

Big animals in the wild, surely get ones adrenaline pumping...they are so thrilling, just because they are beautiful, creatures of God...but when they start getting too near you, fear kicks in...

Its a quandry, to feel such awe at their beauty and strength, and to also feel fear for those same reasons...

Well, time for me to lay down....I could not get a good nights sleep last night...kept dreaming about kids I went to grade school with, and kept waking up, chuckling to myself, at how silly we all were in my dreams...now I am nodding off....

So need to go play with Dizzy for a little while, give him some snacks, and then go to sleep....

I dont know about anyone else, but I have vivid dreams just about every single night, and lately they have been waking me up....then I start conking out in the middle of the day, or the early evenings....

Guess I am getting old and my old body is changing.....

With a little practice you can somewhat direct you dreams and keep them on a good course..make them so you don't want to wake up and they will run their course.

the desert is not barren as it looks in that pic
stuff grows everywhere here, the way it does everywhere else
but nothing grows tall here (it is not like forest)
no matter where you are climbing on a mountain you can see as far as the eye can see in all four directions
same goes with most everywhere else
nothing obstructs your view

it's not that he refused to take me swimming with him after the camera incident
I wouldnt go
he buzzes like a bumblebee when he gets upset

it worked out for the best
I'm sure swim calmed him down
he got to take his photos to be developed
discovered camera problem
his birthday is first week in october
I'd love to get him digital camera
it is his dream to get pic of coyote in wash (and dream come true of mountain lion)
a baby mountain lion was spotted in our wash last week
