I love it, I love it....quaint, little, teeny tiny little places such as this, have always fascinated me...I love the look of it, and love the name of it...

I always try to imagine the characters that actually do have the grit to live in such isolated places...

Oh, I wont write anything off our list of places to go...

My husband has been down to Mexico several times, all before I ever met him tho...but he and his friends used to drive down there all the time, in their latter teen years, and in their early 20s....

One of his friends actually had a Mexican girlfriend down there, and they would all pile into a car, and go down there and visit...it was in a pretty remote area, as the roads were almost non existant, and they almost had to hack their way through the terrain, to get to the village where she lived...

But we both have a very real desire to see Alaska, and the Yukon...

I, who "watch no tv," thought that N.E. was a truly superior tellie experience.

Any show that I enjoy, is quickly enough whacked.

I always loved Northern Exposure, the characters were so wild, and eccentric, and just plain fun.....I also always enjoyed 'Twin Peaks', tho that was just tooo weird for lots of folks....so when that went off the air, I was glad to see Northern Exposure, which I always referred to as a 'gentler' Twin Peaks....

Twin Peaks was filmed up here in the Pacific Northwest, with the falls in that series being Snoqualmie Falls, and the lodge seen in the series, was the lodge just above Snoqualmie Falls...

Curiously enough, I believe that much of Northern Exposure was also filmed here in the Pacific Northwest, in a little place called Roslyn, tho I may be mistaken on that part...The little Northern Exposure episode, where Marilyn goes on a vacation, ,and she vacations in Seattle, was fun to watch, to see all the sights of Seattle....

I watch I guess, what I would call a moderate amount of TV...but I watch just certain programs, and to them I am loyal...

Most comedies on TV, are to me, not funny at all...just plain boring....but I do enjoy police stories, mysteries, SCi-Fi channel, and many other things...

What I am especially enjoying now, are the Nero Wolfe mysteries on AandE....Maury Chaykin, always a fine character actor, plays the portly Nero Wolfe, and Timothy Hutton plays his sidekick and number one dick, Archie Goodwin...there is always a mystery involved, but the mystery always comes off with a wink, and a bit of good humor, always pointed at the eccentricities of the lead characters involved...

Nero Wolfe, when provoked, always says in a huff "Phooey"...and he says it with a flair...I have picked that one up, and run around my house, when provoked hollering "Phooey"...

Or the chief cop, played by Bill Smitrovich of 'Life Goes On' fame, when provoked, hollers 'Nutz', always with his stogie in his mouth...

Check it out, you might enjoy it...

I just read your Seattle report
let me try to get it straight
first you shopped for lunch bag
then you went to Jolly Rodger
than you had sex
then he went to the game
we'll skip over the sex cause that is intimate
so you got lost in seattle trying to find the lunch bag, eventually you found one but it is red
bigdom accepted red, because he didnt want another wild goose chase
you had a wonderful time in Jolly Rodger
lots of yummy beer and delicious food
and interesting surroundings
BigDom bought two shirts there, one with skull and crossbones and santa hat on it, and one more modest
the hamburgers were scrumptious, the onion rings divine
then the chair episode
then (understandably) he was late for the taxi
but enjoyed the game even tho his team lost
cause he got to see the new stadium
rofl it sounds like a perfect day

Was founded in 1699. The church was started in 1744 and finished in1759. It is the best preserved of the old Jesuit missions...

if the men in your barraks were naked
when the lady officer came in
why did they put their towels on their head

girls commonly (in same situation) wrap the towels around them
we dont put them on our head like a veil

celtic girl come over and speak to this situation
you were military
did girls under you act this way
