AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 566) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | August 9, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 08/09/2002 4:00:05 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Another key witness, a friend of Martha Stewart, is cooperating with investigators. Mariana Pasternak, a real estate broker from Westport, CT, was on the plane with Martha Stewart when she sold 4,000 shares of ImClone stock.

WorldCom finds that billions of dollars more have turned up as missing.

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein expressed hope that Britain would not join the United States in attacking his country.

And Tipper Gore, according to Fox News, tried to get free tickets for her, her husband, and the entire Gore staff, but were rebuffed. They were told they would have to pay face value for tickets - $77. Tipper passed.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I was asked yesterday if I thought that other radical Moslems in other places may try to copycat the attacks in Pakistan.

Well, duh!

The question ranks at the top of my "stupid question list."

Did you ever think of charging your inmates for extra services? Click here for a story of a sheriff who does just that.

This is an idea which ought to catch on.

I would suggest going to the doctor. Back pain can be referred pain from another area.

Yes, he might give you an Rx for something a tad stronger, like Flexeril. Have to rely on that occasionally, and never go on a trip without it.LOL! *Older* age is such fun!

No but when we needed the jail painted we sure didn't contract the labor out. If they were machanincs, they worked on police cars, if they cooked, they cooked for the inmates, if they sewed, they kept the 'strips' mended, they worked for their stay in jail.

How do I know you're Nita? You don't look like Nita. Methinks you're an imposter.

Oh yeah? You should see me in a skirt and classy pumps with matching handbag!! (Oops...)

Tipper tried to get free tickets for what? I couldn't make sense of that.

Something interesting has happened on the job front. I've been feeling frustrated at the barriers that public schools put up to keep out good and experienced teachers if their experience is outside of public education. My wife is in on an interim license, although they said she's one of the most qualified teachers in the whole state. I'm maybe a little behind her in qualifications, but can't get my foot in the door because I don't have a teacher's license.

But yesterday my wife found out that the number of students she has in her ESL classes is enough to require a full-time teacher, not part-time. She doesn't want to work full-time so we're thinking of seeing if we could combine as two part-timers to do the job. It would save the school paying the benefits that go to full-timers and since no one who is licensed and certified has applied, I could also probably get the interim license. This morning I'll be talking to a consultant to the department of education in Nashville about some other things and will ask her about policy in this area.
