In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

1. Crying is blackmail.
1. BEER is as exciting for us as handbags are for you.
1. Thank you for reading this; Yes, I know, I have to sleep
on the couch tonight, but do you know I really don't mind

how did sea get that picture of you in the first place? You mean you haven't heard this one yet??
My sweet cupcake and I spent the afternoon of the 29th eating and drinking in this neat little Greek restaurant in Vancouver......
It was a great time and Arghie even showed me pictures of him and Howie that go way back.
To answer your question, I used my camera.

1. BEER is as exciting for us as handbags are for you.Actually, I don't find handbags exciting. Their only requirement is to be comfortable enough for me to carry my gun in. After that, it doesn't matter.

I've got nothing against anyone who wants to know ahead of time - that's just not what we wanted. But we did have a name chosen for either.
There was no way a child of mine was going to go through what I went through when I was told at about 13 that I was 3 days old before a name was given to me, and then the name was chosen based on a character in a movie portrayed by my mother's favorite actress.
Names had been chosen for either sex by the time I was 6 months pregnant.
When she was handed to me I immediately called her Jacqueline. The nurse later commented that I new the sex before hand and she was surprised when I said we didn't, that we had names chosen regardless of a boy or girl.

Sorry about the sexist comment - and you're right - she could have just as easily kept her legs crossed.
But this case was about him opposing the abortion, not her refusing one.
It's a moot point, now that she has had a miscarriage.

if xsbrownie was a boy we would have named her Antonin. Since she wasn't, we gave that name to xspup as his middle name! with a fairly Italian sounding last name, i thought Antonin was a bit better than Sal or Vinnie or Cheech, all of which xshub was pressing for...
