I've got nothing against anyone who wants to know ahead of time - that's just not what we wanted. But we did have a name chosen for either.

There was no way a child of mine was going to go through what I went through when I was told at about 13 that I was 3 days old before a name was given to me, and then the name was chosen based on a character in a movie portrayed by my mother's favorite actress.

Names had been chosen for either sex by the time I was 6 months pregnant.

When she was handed to me I immediately called her Jacqueline. The nurse later commented that I new the sex before hand and she was surprised when I said we didn't, that we had names chosen regardless of a boy or girl.

if xsbrownie was a boy we would have named her Antonin. Since she wasn't, we gave that name to xspup as his middle name! with a fairly Italian sounding last name, i thought Antonin was a bit better than Sal or Vinnie or Cheech, all of which xshub was pressing for...

LOL, Wolfgangs name was chosen before he was even conceived. There was little discussion, as I do not tolerate dissent. The other two we discussed, but in the case of #2 Son, we had two choices, and since I absolutely refused to name him after me that was easy, and the third was named for her, so I can call her Jr. LOL.
