here is an interesting article
turns out all the money we gave russia during clinton's presidency
for purpose of reform, democracy, etc
went into the hands of the guys clinton picked to oversee the program (and the money)
lol I thought harvard supported clinton out of misguided idealism
not so, seems clinton picked the harvard team to manage the money
cause he knew they would line their pockets with it
what a quid pro quo
no wonder Harvard vociferously defended him in the Impeachment
I am glad the Justice Department is investigating this now

the whole article is meaty (and specific)
here's one part which explains in general where our foreign aid goes
Anne Williamson is a Soviet and Russian specialist and author of the forthcoming book, Contagion: The Betrayal of Liberty, Russia and the United States in the 1990s
She says
The issue isn't political or cultural, it's an issue of corruption. It addresses the fact that our government, and representatives chosen by the government, are corrupt. There are large groups feeding from the public treasury under the camouflage of foreign aid, humanitarian work, building a better world, exporting democracy - all phrases under which the theft is organized. The answer is to end all foreign aid - absolutely, tomorrow, shut it down

They won't want biker babes like Grannie after she goes swimming in her deluxe mudhole ;-)
To: habs4ever

I just dont know if the guys over there are her type
plus she did not speak well of them
they don't know where their butt is
To: palo verde
Thanks so much for the Contagion link and information - we've really known this all along. It's great to see it spelled out in black & white for the slow among us. JL

Hmmmmm...do you suppose that Gran might sport a tatoo? ;-)
To: lodwick
you are right loddy
we've known it all along
obviously Russia never would have let clinton bomb Yugoslavia (their neighbor and cousin)
'cept that clinton had the whole russian government on the take
when Yeltsin finally said ''none of your bombs better stray into Russia''
the russian duma tried to Impeach Yeltsin
(one of their charges for Impeachment was ''alienating the friendship of the USA''
(this is while we were bombing Yugoslavia)
I was naive about the breadth of the corruption tho
I made same mistake bout clinton staying in power
I knew he wouldnt leave
I naively thought only way to stay was WW3
it didn't occur to me he'd try to slick us out of our democracy
Love, Palo

where will she sport her tattoo if AFers say we cant find our butt
maybe a butterfly over her right breast would look sweet
To: lodwick

To: lodwick
Dizzy has been posting on the mean pet owners thread

To: palo verde
Good people always want to believe the best of others, even when they are made to drop their shorts and bend over for the bad guys.
Well, he must have had an horrific childhood or something - he's a good guy, really, at heart.
Bullshit - there are evil and wrong people and spirits moving around among us - even as I type this to you. Really evil and really wrong.
They must be avoided at all costs.

I met gazillion people in nyc
they were nice people
a lot of them were homeless and street people too
but in tucson my neighbor turned out to be conman
I had to go to court to get my property back
that girl julie redick (''comonsense'') the freeper
turned out to be conman
saw us as sheep to be fleeced
yet 99.99% of freepers are sweethearts
it's naive to think everyone has our best interests at heart
but it's cynical not to realize most do
each of us must find the right balance for ourselves
to preserve our joy, yet act sensibly
Love, Palo

Loddy.. Al forgot the chicken.. The damned chicken got drunk as a skunk and fell over... and Al wasn't much better.. After watching Jeapody this is what the chicken looked like after the show was over.. (just joking, but thought you'd like the Jeapody bit) It's a wonder it/he didn't burn the garage down.. The rest of the dinner was very good.. as I was completely in control.... sighhhhhh... Oh well, can you believe we ate some of that.. I'll be picking charcoal out of my teeth for two days.. lol lol lol Guess it's time to check out the cake... oh baby...

Damn drunks.. they're all alike.. lol...

I'm baaaack....actually returned a couple of hours ago, but had to put all the travel gear and other incidentals away, pack BigDoms lunch, play with Dizzy, read the mail, listen to phone messages, check up on my won ebay auctions,
feed Dizzy treats, and catch up on all the shenanigans on DD...
We certainly had a grand time up in Seattle, as usual...we surely were glad to get away for a few days, tho its always great to be back home again....
Tho I am bushed...just very, very tired, so dont know how long I shall last online today....perhaps my adventure tales will have to begin tomorrow...
Neets...glad your romantical weekend was a success..
Westy...love your pics...did you drive all the way up the Alaskan Hwy, from end, to end?...that is something we would like to tackle, I know a few people who did it, and had a grand time...
Gran...your pics are grand, especially of the drunken chicken...at first, the two drunken chickens side, by side, appeared to me to be wearing dresses...I sure must be tired, and my eyes playing tricks on me...
Habs...I love the list that you sent to Palo, of the things common to those of us from the Pacific Northwest....they were spot on right...some of them made me laugh outloud, they are just so typical of those of us from the Pacific Northwest...
Loddy...Greyhound Bus tales will commence after I finish up telling about our latest venture to Seattle...the funniest story occured exactly 10yrs ago, and its a funny one indeed...it will come shortly...
Palo....glad that you got your bears safely...they made good time to Arizona, and glad that they made you smile..
Your story about the gal in the wheelchair made me laugh out loud...busted for speeding, caused herself an accident, and had to have the EMTs care for her...I wonder, if she got a ticket...or was she DWI....and what is the famous Lulu up to now..?
Glad to be back online at DD, where I belong...
