hi celtic gal
I am happy to see you
we are having monsoon season now in tucson, do you remember that from when you lived in Yuma
however this monsoon season is not like ones in past
remember all the wondrous lightning we used to get on desert?
this summer we have no lightning at all, just mistiness and humidity
we only got rain twice
which is not much, since we didnt have rain for 2 years
but for first time in l-o-n-g time I am seeing green things bud up from earth
must be desert weeds
I had forgotten earth gave birth, it's been so long
I love you
when r u comin' to tucson to teach me how to swim?
I have been practicing deadman's float
will you teach me flutter kick
kisses, Palo (should I practice blowing bubbles thru my nose in bathtub?)

hi swetie
I dreamt I was on LP thread
I dont remember the topic under discussion in my dream
(it wasn't the topic which is on LP in real life)
it wasn't about pocketbook shoppin' but prolly something personal to my life
I don't remember what it was tho
I woke up when I had just posted my last reply on the imaginary thread
lol it may have been about refrigerators, for some reason your posts on that topic triggered my memories of refrigerators past
I have had dramas in that department
Love, Palo

I guess FR Las vegas conference is not just fun filled week
they are planning to have classes on political activism
I went to a political activists' conference back in '60s when I was a leftist
abbie hoffman was there, and his ideas for political activism were fun
(he was lotsa fun too)
it was held up in northern michigan
in evening abbie hoffman and his friend invited me to smoke pot with them
and then I went back and slept with his friend
I don't remember what advice abbie hoffman had for political activists, it was something like wear hippie beads and have fun
he was wearing beads as he said it
Love, Palo

Hi, Dear Palo, Well, maybe in the fall sometime. Kristie is building a house near the Apache Junction area so she will move from Phoenix near OCT..maybe then I can teach you to dogpaddle and flutter kick too!*L*
I was on a site that listed the 10 best cities to live in if one has" MeanEars" which I now have ( actually have been bothered since 98 but got the Word last Dec) and Yuma is #! and phoenix is on the list too. The reason is that the barometeric pressure is most stable there. Yes I miss the desert and was always amazed that the desert has it's own beauty..the spring catus blooms, the ocotillo and Yucca are so beautiful. One either loves the desert or hates it. I love the sun wonder about the heat now..
Gramps is taking the boys up to Yousemite and Sutters Mill. He is going to teach them how to pan gold...and read them stories from Robert W. Service...
I am making chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal and raisin cookies. They aren't going to get much junk food here. Got to take a look at cookies NOW!!!!

I'd love to see your painting of the marsh grass
the green is beautiful
marsh grass is pretty
I didn't know waterlilies grew in salt water
I used to see them in ponds and lakes in Adirondacks
in shady spots where trees overhung
the big bullfrogs loved hanging out by them
Love, Palo

Westy its grand to see you back, and thrilling to see your new pics...thanks for the pic of Mt. Rainier, from Sunrise....
We love to go up to Sunrise in the summer, which is the only time one can get up there....gives a whole different perspective on Rainier, from the usual Paradise sighting...We were up to Rainier over Mothers Day, which is obviously too soon for the road to Sunrise being cleared of snow, and will probably be going up to Rainier in the fall, which then will be too late to get up to Sunrise, as the road is already getting snowed in and its closed....
The drive through the park from the Nisqually Entrance, all the way over to Sunrise, is a long, wonderful, leisurely drive through the forest, past the waterfalls, near the various lakes, going up and down, the road twisting and turning, and sightings of wildlife(still no Sasquatch), are amazing....
So glad, Westy that you have decided to join us again...you were very much missed...

Hi, Westie, Glad you are back. I dash around the FR sites and off to a Menieres site too so I can be kinda hard to catch. Nice you are back..HooooRaaaaaaayyyyyyy

What wonderful pics...love pics of old buildings, and especially appreciate your pics as they are so well done, and give me a glimpse to the east coast of our country, which is an area that is so unfamiliar to me, especially New England.....have only briefly been through New England once, so just love all your pics, for bringing it to me...

Here's a pic of an old fort.. I believe it is called Fort McClarry, in Kittery Me..
How are you Mom..? It's as good as ever to see you and your posts...

Andysmom - Don't take any notice of grannie's pix, mine make important sociological statements.

Well, Captain...I think you have done yourself proud, with the link to the Society for the Preservation of Artificial Wildlife...that is one link I have bookmarked for further study, and further laughs...
I especially enjoyed the Flamingo Parade pics...those folks are wacky, and my type of people....odd, eccentric, out to have a good time, and who cares what anyone else thinks...I think my dad would have loved the Flamingo Parade, he probably would have dressed himself up, and joined right in...the pic of the artificial Flamingo, sitting in a car, waiting out the winter, is a scream....
One can always rely on the captain, to bring us such newsworthy and earthshaking important sites...Newsworthy and earthshaking because they provide simple, hearty, happy laughs, which in this world which is sometimes so very sad, are so very well needed, to help us through those sad times...
I may not say anything each day, about the wacky sites you bring us, but just do know, that each day I go to them, for my daily laugh and smile...thanks...

Hey guys...these pics are so welcome to me...love them...
Gran...outstanding pic of the old Fort...look at that blue sky...is that right on the ocean? its almost as if I can smell the salt air, and hear the seabirds...
AC...OK, I give up, its funny, but what is it?
To: andysandmikesmom
Thank you andymom. I love to read your posts and you often bring back memories for me.
To: celtic gal
Its always so tough when we lose one of our dear beloved pets...I guess most of us have been through it, so we know and sympathize with your loss...
I dont know how others believe, but I always believe that God intended us to be the kind caretakers of the animals He created...and when we mourn when they die, I believe He feels our sadness also...Your Nacho, is safe in Gods memory, for I believe He loved your Naco as well...
To: andysandmikesmom
Yes Mom, it's right on an inlet, and if you turn your body around, this is what you see... The fort would be right behind me on a hill.

What a heavenly place to be...no matter what way you turn, and which way you look, a breathtaking scene greets you...
I can see that when BigDom and I retire and hit the road, New England, a place both of us are unfamiliar with, will have to be high on our list of places to see...
