Shiksa...there was a whole 'Seinfeld' episode about 'Shiksa appeal'...Elaine, being a Gentile, seemed to attract just about every Jewish man around...first her bosses son, at his Bar Mitzvah, gave Elaine a big fat kiss on the lips, because now he was a 'Man'...then the boss tried to seduce Elaine....then Jerry, a nice Jewish boy, asked Elaine to marry him...
So Elaine went to the Rabbi who lived in her building, and asked him about this 'Shiksa appeal'...he assured her there was no such thing, tho he did try to get her to go with him down to the beach for a weekend...at which point, Elaine jumped up and left, leaving the Rabbi with her empty rocking chair...

I give andy lotsa credit
the britishers on the everest expedition are having miserable time in Tibet (under thumb of Chinese)
but Andy managed to get far away from the chinese government and police
and have wonderful experience in Tibet
that is miraculous
To: habs4ever
you didnt tell us what food was served at your sis's birthday party
and where it was held
and if you had a good time
and what happened
where is the report?
To: palo verde
Did you know that it is against the law to have a picture of the Dhali Lama in Tibet? You will get in big trouble if you have his picture....
When Andy was staying with the nomands, he opened one of his guide books, and showed them the pic of teh Dhali lama...they were so happy to see that picture, because, they in general, do not keep such a pic with them, fearing being caught by the Chinese, and subjected to Chinese penalties...They have to live there, so they try to stay out of trouble with the Chinese authorities...
I guess Andy figured, if he got caught, he could just plead ignorance about the law, tho I dont know if that would have worked...thankfully he was never caught....

''Seinfeld'' is having a big effect in Tucson too
my friend Nicole told me she wants to go to nyc now
she wants to have her car towed and eat in a coffee shop
and take the subway
To: andysandmikesmom
it sounds insane to me
why arent the Tibetans allowed to have a picture of their Dalai Lama
maybe the Chinese government is just plumb out of its mind
To: palo verde
I love 'Seinfeld'....I was so sad when it went off the air, but luckily we have it here, in reruns, 6days a week, two times a day....
The whole sitcom is so wacky and silly, and I just get a real kick out of it...and that is saying something...I find most sitcoms on TV to be boring, dull, and certainly not funny....
But 'Seinfeld' cracks me up...I probably have seen every episode, several times, but I never get tired of it...
Its always just tooo funny....

There are actually three Dalai Lamas...the first is the one that was picked by the monks themselves, and he is the one we know about, who fled Tibet, and still lives in exile...
Then the Chinese govt picked their own Dalai Lama....cannot remember what my son said about where he is, but he is locked up, or something like that...
And then there is a third Dalai Lama...dont have any info about him, save that he too, is also I think locked up somewhere...
What an absolute mess...

I wonder how it is affecting intergalactic travel
when the ETs arrive, they stop in a monastery in Tibet first
(which is expecting them)
and spend about a week of hospitality from the monks
then they go to wherever is their destination here on Earth
from what I have read the Tibetans are far out
they know how to use their mind so they dont get cold in their extremely cold climate
not all Tibetans ae enlightened tho
I read an autobiography of a Tibetan lama
and he came from a rich family of Tibetan social climbers
(he's the one who knows how to talk cat, if he met Dizzy, Dizzy could tell him his whole life before he arrived with you)
Dizzy could tell him every minute of how he spends his time while you and BigDom are in Seattle
To: palo verde; All
I should go now....Dizzy is whining, and I should give him some extra attention, that he can store up, for when we are gone this weekend...
And I have to go to bed early, as I am getting up early tomorrow...need to go to the grocery store, then want to go shopping for some new clothes, then need to mail off Palos package of three bears...BigDom was going to do it on his way home from Tacoma, but I forgot to give him the address....so the three bears took a trip to Tacoma with BigDom...then they came home...so tomorrow, I need to get them sent on their way to you....
So for now, I am saying goodnight, and see ya all tomorrow...
To: palo verde
Forgot to tell you...you have email...
To: andysandmikesmom
I cant figure out why the Chinese want to occupy Tibet
altho now it is very lucrative for them
cause of the trekkers and climbers
the chinese government in Tibet sells the permit to climb everest, and I think it might be close to $60,000/person
To: andysandmikesmom; All
sweet dreams andysmom

I guess the sculpture on river walk is a wolf?It is two wolves and a couple of baskets...
It is based on an Indian Ledgend...A group of squaws were out berry picking..one lay down and went to sleep...the others moved on..later they heard a commotion and when they went back all they found was the baskets....
Guess the moral of the story is 'Don't lie down on the job'..or 'Don't sleep on the job'..whatever!!!
