rofl your post bout big brave Helga is funny
she gave the garbage man the dickens
he's lucky she didnt flip over his garbage truck
lol it's funny how Dizzy carries on when he's safe behind his sliding glass door
I get such a kick out of Dizzy
either he's supervising you and BigDom from kitchen window
or he's telling off the kitty cat who enters his yard
(behind his glass door)
he doesnt leave the house, but he sure rules the roost

no wonder he flops into his big quilted chair
so much responsibility on such slim shoulders

Yes, Dizzy does rule the roost from the safety of his house...

But he is going to be mad this coming weekend...we leave on Friday afternoon, for a fun filled three days in Seattle, and wont return until Monday afternoon...

Poor Dizzy, he will have to rule the roost all alone...

And of course, he will vent his anger, and leave a 'poop' deposit on the bed...he does that every time...

Its as if he is saying "You can leave me all alone for a few days, but I will fix you, by pooping in the bed"

I too never heard of ping pong as way to get in shape for lovemaking
in fact I didnt know one had to get in shape for lovemaking
after all neets is not climbing Mt Everest

malheureusement the mt everest book is soaked
the guy who wrote this one is just cameraman, filmmaker
he never planned to climb mt everest
only to film the expedition he was with who was climbing it

he trained by taking 10 mile hike with huge pack on his back
he planned to remain at base camp and hire nother camera man to go to summit with the climbers
however things worked out differently than he planned, and he arrived at summit himself

I think last time you went to Seattle Dizzy slept the whole time
when you returned you said it was obvious you awoke him from a deep sleep
but when he collected himself, he remembered to carry on bout bein' left alone

When Andy was trekking around in Nepal, it took him days and days to reach where he wanted to be...the altitude was excrutiatingly high, and it was quite the ordeal getting there....which was just near the Everest Base Camp....he got out his binoculars, and could see all the mountain climbers and their tents set up, and what not....

All he could think to himself was, "Thank God, I am not going up to the summit...trekking up to the base camp was enough for him...

I often wonder, how animals perceive time...do they perceive it the same way as we do? Does Dizzy notice the difference between 3 hours and 3 days, or does it all seem about the same to him? Its hard to know how an animal relates to time..

Because, even if we are just gone for a few hours, Dizzy does carry on, about being left alone...

Tho when we are gone for days, he seems to carry on all the more....

Helga used to get mad at BigDom when he went to Chicago for a few weeks, or was gone with the Army Reserves for a few weeks, for summer camp....

She would holler and scream when he first came home, because she was so glad to see him...but once she got past that, she kind of ignored BigDom for a day or so...

He would feel so bad, but after a day or so, she would ease up, and be his best girl again...animals do know, how to make us humans feel guilty about ignoring or abandoning them...

based on books I am readin' Andy is sensible guy
I can understand why professional climbers like to climb it, climbing mountains is what they do
but most of the people in these expeditions are regular people
who paid over $60,000 dollars to do it
(which does not include airfare)
but I guess each has their reasons for what they do
and others may think I am nuts too

the guy who wrote this book wanted chance to be away from his wife
he dearly loves his wife, but feels guilty bout his lifestyle
he jumped at this chance to climb everest (or film the expedition to climb everest)
cause he wanted to think it all thru

It has become an extremely expensive ordeal to try to climb Everest...you need equipment, and guides, and permits from the govt, and food, and on and on....its really mind blowing to realize that cost that climbers must pay to climb Everest...

For Andy, he just went out on his own, without a sherpa or a guide, tho he did meet up with other people who he joined, and some of them had their own sherpas....but Andy, did it mostly on his own, just following his map, and compass and making his way along the route...and stopping at the various checkpoints, and lodges, etc, along the way...

Hes so glad that he did it, but it really was an awful ordeal, one, which I dont think he wants to repeat, tho who knows, with him...

I dont know how animals perceive time
the new age emphasizes that time is not linear
it all happens now
I think einstein said time is relative
if you are touching a burning pot, an instant is as long as an hour he said
but if he is sitting next to beautiful woman at dinner, an hour goes by in a minute
I was surprised what a lady's man he was
(not very faithful either) (totally into having affairs)

from my reading it sounds awful
Tibet is under control of china
so they were forced to stay at the chinese hotel enroute
he said it was so frigid if water dripped it formed stalactites
the bed was cot like in prison cell
the room looked like prison cell
only one hairy blanket
and it was all filthy
food was inedible
and they were charged $60/night

Well, we all know, when we are having a good time, time flies...on tbe other hand, when we are miserable, or bored, time seems to stand still....so in that sense time really is relative to what frame of mind you are in....

I think for people who are going to be executed, that last day, probably whizzes by fast as anything, because it is their very last day....they want it to last, and it just goes by too quickly, because they are at the end of their life...

Some women are attracted by great intelligence...Einstein was not really a particularly great looking man, but he sure had brain power...that can be like a
love potion to some women...

they had no choice about staying at the hotel
they werent allowed to camp out instead
they had to stay there, it was part of government rules
(and the government owned the hotel)

Andy spent a month in Tibet, and says what the Chinese have done to the people and to the country is terrible....

But the Tibetans themselves are the best, most friendly, most loving, most generous people he has ever met, anywhere...he just loved them...

You cannot even get in Tibet on your own...you must always join a tour, and pass through several checkpoints, all manned by Chinese guards, who are really brusque, mean, evil, and just try to hassle tourists in general...Andy absolutely hated the Chinese, but loved the Tibetans...

Andy fears that in the coming years, Tibetan culture, will keep disappearing...every single Tibetan town of any size, has a Chinese section, built by the Chinese...eventually he fears that China will begin moving more and more Chinese out of China proper, and set up populations in Tibet, in an effort to wipe out traditional Tibetan culture, and even intermarry, in an attempt to genetically wipe out the Tibetans...

That is why he was glad to see Tibet when he did, because altho the Tibetans resist as best as they can, the time may come, when traditional Tibetan culture will be rare...

I dont know if he had devastating effect on wimmin before he was famous

rofl when he was going steady with his shiksa girlfriend and wanted to marry her
his mother said ''Albert if you marry her you'll never amount to anything
also you are giving me a heart attack''
she was beautiful and brilliant physicist in her own right and he married her
but seems to have left her for his beautiful cousin

shiksa means girl who is not jewish

thank you for Andy's first hand report
that is interesting
Matt (the author of my book) makes some references to this
but doesn't explain it like Andy does
the chinese sound miserable in Tibet tho
maybe when the chinese overthrow their awful government, things will change

When Andy trekked further and further into the backlands of Tibet, where the nomads live, he did so at some peril, he and some of his fellow trekkers...thumbing their noses at Chinese authority and rules, they did not obtain the expensive permits to travel where they did, and always had to be on the alert for the Chinese police...

But they had hiked so far into Tibet, that they felt the lazy Chinese police would not trek that far into backland Tibet, just to catch a few trekkers without permits...

They were then pretty free to visit monasteries, where few westerners have gone, and were free to live with the nomads for a few days....

Living with the nomads was really one of Andys greatest and most treasured times of his trip....my most treasured souvenirs, that Andy brought to me, were the traditional boots, apron, purse and prayer wheel that he brought us from the traditional merchants from the backlands of Tibet...not the crap you find in souvenir stores, but stuff handmade by the people with whom he was staying..
