OK, why does that fool mouse come in at 19 while Donald Duck only ranks 43, Porky at 47, and Tom and Jerry 50?!?!
And I've never ever heard of about half a dozen of these cartoons.
And damn it, where is Aeon Flux!!? And Heavy Metal?!!

    This is just WRONG!
I mean who the hell would rank fricking Pikachu ahead of Scooby?
And where the hell is Pluto, Speedy G, and the Smurfs?
To: StoneColdGOP
Why is Cartman #10. It should be Cartman #1 Mr Burns #2 Homer #3

THE SMURFS? Hopefully, every smurf tape has been safely stored in a secure vault in a Nevada chemical arm storage facility, waiting to be unleashed on the Iraqi army as a counterresponse to a WMD attack.

They left out Huckleberry Hound, Deputy Dawg, andSherman and Mr. Peabody.
Children must have put this list together.

And how did the coyote and road runner end up at #38 - behind a lot of the others? Those are among the funniest cartoons ever made, IMO.
To: StoneColdGOP
Ok, there are only a few I do not know who they are. They left out a few obvious ones, and included a few that don't make sense. IF this was "in no particular order", it wouldn't be too bad.

Angelica Pickles ranks higher than Charlie Brown???? You've got to be kidding me! Chuck should be at the top of the list (okay, maybe just under Bugs Bunny). I don't let our kids watch "Rugrats" because I don't want them imitating the obnoxious characters and dialogue. I have no problem with them watching Peanuts cartoons.

    I know, I know....but I liked the Smurfs. ;-`)
Besides it was hard trying to remember cartoons at 1 am. Of course as soon as I turned off the computer and was trying to sleep I thought of several more -Huckleberry Hound, Pixie, Dixie and Mr Jinks (?), Baby Huey, ect.

Tom and Jerry crossing the line at #50 is the biggest surprise to me. I've lived in China and Singapore and in both of those places Tom and Jerry were very popular cartoons. I think they are classics for sure.

Where in the hell is Hank Hill?

finally, a topic on the free republic that i am a true expert in!!!
in my opinion, for a cartoon to make this list, it must appeal to kids of multiple generations. spongebob is great, but he has only been sopping up the laughs for about 4 years. homer will not be heroic for another 20 years.
josie and the pussy cats (i hated when it was my sister's turn to watch the tv) may have been on for all of 4 years -- i cheered when it was pulled!!!
i guess good old TV Guide is a prostitute to bucks, just trying to sell its product, just like the rest of the liberal media.
