Speaking of bats...many years ago at the ranch, one night I opened the door to let the male cat in for the evening and Tux brought a bat in and dropped it on the floor! I went ballistic, Tux was upset cause we took his 'toy'!

I haven't the faintest idea where or how he got it.

Not always, but it has been a busy cople or three weeks in a row. I was off Friday too, but I spent it sitting and waiting on them to check the AC on my car. Took 4 hours and $50 for them to tell me that I couldn't afford to fix it anyway.

I'm wondering if y'all can help me with this...my friend (a young woman who started paying attention during the clinton scandals and whom I'd like to help form a conservative POV) sent me the following via email and asked if it was true. Now, I think everything in this email is true, but I'm not sure and don't want to say "yes" and realize later that it has "hoax" material in it. Anything anyone can give me in terms of its veracity and back-up info would be most appreciated! Just a few quick responses would be great. Thanks for your help!

A. The Democratic Party. An immigrant can move into this country at 65 and get SSI Social Security. The Democratic Party gave that to them although they never paid any money into it.

And the Kicker is...After doing all this, they promulgate the lie that Republicans want to take your Social Security. When a lie is told often enough it is believed. The Democrats are desperate to find an issue.

Same thing they told my girlfriend about the one on her Blazer....said it take $500 to fix.....I did it in 30 minutes and it cost me $40 in R-134a

I had my A/C fixed last month, was a 900 dollar job but only cost me 200 dollars thanks to an exteneded service plan I paid 1500 dollars for 2 years ago when I bought the truck. You do the math.... I had the money then and I dont now, so I guess it worked out..

Everything rings true, but I dont think it was until the 80's that SS funds rolled into general funds... I dont think Reagan had any real control over this.
