Believe me, after that little fiasco and the one when I flew into San Francisco, he never put me on first class again--not even when he was flying...sheesh, he even liked those helicopters!

I kept telling him it wasn't necessary to fly--that I loved to drive!

I suspect that is probably why we never went to England, Europe, or even Hawaii--ya either got to fly or sail!

I was such a fraidy cat, a real candy ass when it came to flying. Even my oldest daughter loved flying. When she was a Bluebird, she won a contest selling candy bars and won an hour of flying around the area where my grandparents lived! That little shit would even tease me about being a fraidy cat!!

And when I went to Ohio in '96, the cousin wanted to fly us down to New Philadelphia to eat at the restaurant at the airport......not this kid! So we drove....the food was fabulous. And near there was another place that has one of those outdoor theaters in the round where they put on plays. Wish I could have stuck around to see that....while we were walking around this built out of stone or cut out of stone edifice, we met the production manager and some of the cast...they offered us free seating for the show--but I had to head for home.

From what I understand they stopped drilling and are setting other stuff up like oxgen to pump in the hole and they are still pumping water out .. they are hoping to drill through sometime tonight

They have all kinds of doctors and ambulances and helicopers (sp?) on stand by if they get the men out

They are still hoping they are still alive but in my opinion they have been in there a long time and it rained real hard up there last night and the temps are really low around here .. it will be a miricle of these men survive

Well gotta gp play with the kiddies .. BBL

I don't believe this was posted anywhere on Free Republic. I received it in an email today from my old boss at Atlantic Richfield Oil Company!

This is just too funny not to share.

It's excerpted from an article which appeared in the Dublin Times about a bank robbery on March 2......

Once inside the bank shortly after midnight, their efforts at disabling the security system got underway immediately. The robbers, who expected to find one or two large safes filled with cash and valuables, were surprised to see hundreds of smaller safes scattered throughout the bank.

The robbers cracked the first safe's combination, and inside they found only a bowl of vanilla pudding. As recorded on the bank's audiotape system, one robber said, "At least we'll have a bit to eat."

The robbers opened up a second safe, and it also contained nothing but vanilla pudding. The process continued until all the safes were opened.

They found not one pound sterling, a diamond, or an ounce of gold. Instead, all the safes contained covered bowls of pudding.

Disappointed, the robbers made a quiet exit, each leaving with nothing more than a queasy, uncomfortably full stomach.

The newspaper headline read:

IRELAND'S LARGEST SPERM BANK ROBBED EARLY THIS MORNING!

HANGING BASKETS

A teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with a
see through blouse on and no bra. Her grandmother just pitched a fit,
telling her not to dare go out like that!

The teenager tells her "Loosen up Grams. These are modern times. You
got let your rosebuds show!" and out she goes.

The next day the teenager comes downstairs, and the grandmother is
sitting here with no top on. The teenager wants to die. She explains
to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just
not appropriate...

The grandmother says, "Loosen up, Sweet. If you can show off your
rosebuds, then I can display my hanging baskets."

Happy Gardening!!

I dunno! Liquor is another thing I'm a candy-ass about! A wee little bit goes a really l - o - n - g way with me. I made up my mind a long time ago I don't ever want to be sick again like the last time--that was in '77.
