Right you are my little pigeon. Yr.Captn's been taking pics of some interesting equipment. Now I don't want you to get too excited - but you can tell the guys you hang around with that you know why I am the Captain and they are scurvy crew.

WW I Naval Gun, La Coruña, Spain.

Subject: More on the Legacy
CLINTON REMEMBERED
Manufacturers announced today that they will be stocking America's
shelves this week with "Clinton Soup," that will honor one of the
nation's most distinguished men. It consists primarily of a weenie
in hot water.
Chrysler Corporation is adding a new car to its line to honor Bill
Clinton. The Dodge Drafter will begin production in Canada this year.
When Clinton was asked what he thought about foreign affairs, he
replied: "I don't know, I never had one."
American Indians have nicknamed Bill Clinton as "Walking Eagle" because
he is so full of crap he can't fly.
Clinton only lacks three things to become one of America's finest
leaders: integrity, vision, and wisdom.
Clinton was doing the work of three men: Larry, Moe and Curly.
Revised judicial oath: "I solemnly swear to tell the truth as I know it,
the whole truth as I believe it to be, and nothing but what I think you
need to know."

No, I would assume that the wilds of Arizona have no 'sneaker' waves...
That Bisbee looks so very interesting...
Once BigDom and I get retired, we are leaving the fast lanes of the interstates and plan on traveling down small highways, and county roads and such...think we will run into many little out of the way places, where in some sense, time stands still, or at least does not rush along like it does in so many places...
To: palo verde
Well, the mail arrived a short while ago, and Katie B. Bearyproud just arrived...she is so cute...so now there is a pink bear, a red bear, and of course Katie, a brown bear in patriotic dress, soon to be coming to Arizona...
When BigDom has time, he will get this package sent out to you...The three bears will be arriving in Palo land...

hi andysmom
absolutely, Bisbee Basset Bar and Grill should let us bring our pets inside
or tables outside all around so we can eat and drink with our pets
(it never rains in Arizona, and is never cold when Sun shines, so patio area would be perfect)
Loddy, get one with orange trees, it's fun to eat and drink and look up into these beautiful dark green leaves and pretty oranges set among them
the deep flawless blue sky is perfect backdrop
turquoise and silver jewelry is very affordable andysmom
it is only the heavy pieces which are expensive
the native americans say turquoise is the stone of happiness
they say amethyst is stone of love
when I walk Lulu and look at my turquoise ring, it makes me happy
it's a nice blue
I bought lapus lazuli bracelet once too, made by the same Navajo artist
but lapus never made me happy to look at in the same way
it prolly has other attributes tho
(it is the stone of the pope and religious leaders I think)
turquoise is my favorite
Love, Palo
To: andysandmikesmom
thank you for my 3 bears andysmom
you are a peach
I have two on my lap right now
they make me happy
it sounds like my boy bears are soon to have lovely girlfriends
I love you

two young men just came to my door to sell me cemetary plot
I told them after 2012 there will be no more death
''what do I need with cemetary plot'' I said, ''I don't intend to die''
one of them kept pressing a card on me
I didn't want to take it
I said ''I dont want anything you sell, you are selling death''
he was so insistent I took it
when I saw it I ripped it up in little pieces
all I read was top part bout emergency
I said ''honey, nothing's gonna happen to me''
Love, Palo
I wanted to be nice to them
on other hand I have views on this topic
it was hard gettin' right balance

I posted on badjoe's thread at LP
I never thought I would post on any of those threads
I was content to be lurker
but someone said badjoe is dishonest
badjoe is golden honesty
I had to speak up
I sure don't want to be drawn into the war of the worlds taking place on those threads
I am detached bystander
but truth is truth I had to say it
badjoe is honest as the day is long

Thats nice to hear, that silver and turquoise pieces can be affordable...I suppose a heavy piece, like a necklace with lots of silver and lots of turquoise, would be costly, but I dont wear necklaces...just pins....
Yes, the girlie bears will be on their way, depending on when BigDom can get over there to do his mailing...hes a busy man, so one day he will leave a little early, and get this package sent on its way...
I never heard of cemetary plots being sold door to door before...thats a new one...

Where to begin.. once again, I have been offline for a day or three.
I recommend Brown& Bigelow tea's "Constant Comment" Has bits of orange in it to give a slight citrus taste to the tea. (I recommend three sugars, steeped ten minutes)
Not much going on in Goshen these days. Except that the governmental building, the one that looks like it's upside down, needs some replacing.
"My December started out as a different drawing.. ended up as a kind of self-portrait. As a rule, I do not stick my actual pic online, too easy for Faces2000 to rip the image. A drawing has no nuances for the stupid proggy to rip.
I have better drawings.. but cannot scan a 48" x 24" image.. nor can brown matteboard 24"x 24" be scanned too well....
"Spinning Free" started out with a fish in a birdcage.. which morphed into a snowglobe in there somewhere while working the drawing. Along with all the other assorted oddities in the background. It was originally supposed to be a color image, especially the "Cherry ball" in the hand of the puzzleface. The figure was drawn from mental imagery, no models used. (I rarely, if ever, use models. Had some lined up once, they wimped out once they heard a GUY was doing the drawing. And they could've stayed dressed, costumed even. I need the practice.)
Self taught, prefer pencil to pen. Though a good ballpoint pen can do credible work when tilted severely. (Bic roundstick medium point, nice thick ink.) I haven't played around with ink lately. [read five years]
I was handed some watercolor pencils (?) a few weeks back. Kinda odd to work with, especially since the paper that came with them is cold press.. and I use smooth paper.

Now I'm jealous, I was only a cannon crewmember on a M119A1 105mm howitzer.. that coastal defense gun makes my old howitzer look like a pop-gun.. (Which it was..)

a lovely silver bracelet with beautiful piece of turquoise is bout $40
a pretty pin would be bout same
I never looked in the pin section, I just look at earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces
next time I am in mall I will take a look
and give you better report of what the story is
BigDom does not have to rush
I am overjoyed bout my 3 pretty girl bears
whenever they arrive will be perfect time
I have 3 boybears for company
thank you sweetie for wonderful gifts
Love, Palo
To: palo verde
$40 would be a really reasonable price...I have lots and lots of pins, I like to collect them and wear them....they are the thing I like the best....
I even have a couple of basset pins...one is a full figure of a basset, ceramic, and in color...the basset is carrying a string of Christmas lites....another pin is fake ivory, with a scrimshaw type drawing of a basset head....quite lovely, and it shows to all, when I wear them, that I am a basset lover...

hi sweetie
Bill goes to open studio at the college here
a model is hired, and anyone can show up at 7 pm to draw her
she is naked every night, cept thursday night, costume night
it is different model each night
anyone is allowed to join
at end of drawing session each contributes what they want to model
since she models for 3 hours, I think it is nice for her to go home with $100/for the session
most contribute $6 to $8
the art school also hires models for their matriculated students, but grossly underpays them
(pays them minimum wage)
I do not know if your local college also has open studio in the evenings
Love, Palo
To: andysandmikesmom
lol andysmom sometimes your posts make me giggle
native americans do lots of animal pins
brace yourself, I have not yet seen a basset
altho remember how fond you are of snakes
perhaps a cute rattlesnake would be the thing
there are coyotes, eagles, beavers, badgers, every kind of animal & bird, turtles
mountain lions
now that you have Dizzy you might like a pin with cat (mountain lion) (puma)
now I can't wait to look and see the selection, I have gotten curious
Love, Palo
