AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 536) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | July 10, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 07/10/2002 4:11:28 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

WorldCom announced they will decide within the next three weeks whether they have to file for bankruptcy protection. Analysts seem to think it is a foregone conclusion. It would be the largest such filing in US history, doubling the size of the Enron folding.

An Al Qa'eda audio tape has a spokesperson assuring the world The Evil One and Mullah Omar are alive and well.

A group of parents in Oakland, CA, are suing the school district for violation of the Establishment Clause. No, this time it is not Christianity that is at question. The action focuses on what has popped up in the news of late about certain practices in public schools in Kantafordia. According to The Washington Times, the parents filed suit because the schools, after September 11, "encouraged students to wear Muslim robes, adopt Islamic names, and stage make-believe pilgrimages to Mecca to learn about the faith."

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Not quite...but there are a few trees in our area that are quite old and historic and people are wanting to cut them down to make way for urban sprawl...that's what I am..an urban sprawl dissenter.

YOU GO GIRL!

There's a huge difference between protecting a particular tree that has meaning to the community ..... and living in a tree house to protect the forest from mean ol' loggers. And it sounds to me like the only reason that tree is endangered is because of .... ta!da! .... government regulations .....

Is there NO way to put the sidewalk around the tree and the handicap ramp in a different area?

Many local communities do that.

Yes, the city has some money from the Feds and it MUST spend it!

Good grief!

Went to the website and the photo from the paper isn't on the site.

The article gives the name of the City's aborist....so he will just be getting a call from me!

In the "well, lookie here" category:

A Washington Times dispatch out of Zagreb, Croatia reports the Balkans war crimes tribunal "is examining whether charges are warranted against former President Bill Clinton and his aides for supporting a 1995 military offensive by Croatia that recaptured territory then held by Serbian rebel forces.”

The demand to indict Clinton comes from the Croatian World Congress, which also names Clinton’s National Security Adviser Anthony Lake, National Security Adviser Samuel "Sandy” Berger, Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, and former U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Peter Gailbraith.

Globalist Court Can Bite the U.S. Leftists Who Support It

LOL!!

Yikes on the pilot's story. I did hear this morning that congress is voting on arming airline pilots. The news guy put the utmost disdain in his voice as he said that Republicans wanted to arm pilots. I think the vote is in the House today. The do-gooders are worried if a gun goes off and accidentally hurts or kills a passenger. Sigh.

Speaking of trees.....I just went to pick up the Blonde at the hospital (f-i-l may need a pacemaker) and then stopped off to pick up the Vette, which needed a new starter. Our new house has 2 big beautiful maple trees in the front yard. While I was gone, a big storm blew through and now we have 1 1/2 big maple trees in the yard. Grrrrrrr. Time to call the tree taker-awayer.

Guns don't ever accidentally go off. They do get negligently fired though. I would trust the guy flying the 80 ton airplane to be able to follow the 4 rules of gun safety.
