The Guild 7-7-2002 Give Pink a Chance
7-7-2002

Posted on 07/07/2002 9:50:03 AM PDT by BigWaveBetty

PINK

Pink is strong, pink is soothing
Pink is a favorite of a designer's choosing.

Pink is just for girls
A color just for ribbons for their curls.

That's old school thinking
Seems everything today needs a good pinking!

So think pink and give pink a chance!

..........

......

............

....

Now after all that thinkin' Pink it's time to retire to your

Pink Suite

In your Pink Castle... pink dreams!

Love the pink jewel heart. Reminds me: My daughter gave me a lovely rose (pink) heart pendant on a sterling chain. She loves her mom, which tickles me pink.

LOL, I didn't like pink either - growing up a tomboy, also. But now, depending on the shade of pink, I enjoy it very much. I have a "pink day" at work where I wear my favorite pink outfit and have gotten one other coworker to join me in it! It's sort of our "rebellious" selves dressing in pink because in the professional world, pink is "out". Black is in. So, thanks for this thread - though I must say - I am still not a HUGE fan of pink....:-)

You are something! What a wonder! Yes, good ideas all for Texanna Red. Can't we do something like hold a cyber yard sale to raise money for her (I know, I know - that's what ebay does). I need organization, I need plans. Yours are good ones - thank you! Gift certificates are great ideas! It would be good if we could get a picture of the house swept away and post it and maybe have an ongoing thread for Texanna Red - but I am not much at doing a daily thread....maybe others will have better ideas. Thanks again. (Maybe a link to the thread about Texanna's situation where she responds --- on the Guild every day?)

CSPAN2 has the repeat of Peggy Noonan discussing her Reagan book, and much about her life on Booktv.

It is an excellent, not to be missed, interview.

And I meant to say, it is on NOW. Do yourself a favor and catch it - you won't regret it. Listening to Noonan is just as soothing and enlightening as reading her work.

Hopefully they will have a Laura Bush rose in the next year or so, and I will add it to my garden as well.

I hope we don't have to wait too long for the Laura Bush rose. I know it will be just lovely.

I was also thinking about something with Ebay. It would be an excellent way to raise funds.

Take a look around you and imagine everything gone. Not only your home and your car, but your memories, treasures and pets. It's unfathomable. I have never posted to TexanaRed, I know nothing about her. All I know is she is a friend in need and the Guild is the most giving group of people I have ever known.

We can get the job done. We can help TexanaRed get back on her feet. I know we all care and that any one of us would help each other out at a moment's notice. I have faith.

LOL! Yes!! Rebelling against what forced us to wear pink as little girls, and rebelling against what forces us not to wear pink as women!

We must both be free spirited independent thinkers! :o)

You're right about the Noonan interview. Mr. M and I watched it earlier today and she was just spellbinding.
