Good morning. Quite an interesting link this morning, Captain. I am truly amazed. ;)
Our astronomy pic is spectacular. Thanks.

Thanks for the lasagna recipes. I love all the variations. Mine never comes out the same way twice, but it's always good. ;)
I've tried NO BOIL lasagna and find it too thin and less substantial than the regular lasagne. You don't have to cook regular lasagna before assembly.
Use uncooked regular lasagna with your recipe, then cover the baking dish very tightly with heavy duty aluminum foil. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1-1/2 hours, let it sit for at least 20 minutes before you remove the aluminum foil.
The moisture from the cheese and the meat cooks the lasagna to perfection during the baking process. No more boiling and you get better pasta. I got this idea from a Dom DeLuise cookbook. Try it, you'll like it. ;)

Good morning! It's murky and overcast right now, the sun is supposed to break through this afternoon and they say the humidity shouldn't be too bad today. Less humidity means a good hair day. ;)
I am at the office now, we are located in Burke. Candy usually comes everywhere with us, she has major separation anxiety so she goes to work with us every day. As long as she's with us, she's happy and secure. Poor baby had a tough puppyhood. Now she's our spoiled little girl. :)

Hi Kathleen
my first dog, I got her back in 1980
left-wing helen had found a stray, and named her Ursula
Ursula had sex with father unknown in Central Park
and had 7 puppies in Helen's closet
we adopted one of those puppies
that dog was just like Candy
I had to take her with me everywhere, she could not stand to be alone
I could not take her to work, I was private secretary to psychiatrist
but fortunately I only worked one day a week
I loved taking her with me wherever I went, she was perfect companion
I bet you love having Candy always with you
how does it work? do you and Candy and hubby all get in car and leave for office together
Love, Palo

He's a hard-working college kid who wants to settle down with Mr. Right but who doesn't want to feel that someone owns him.
Rikko, Rikko - somehow I do not think that DoorFolk swing in your direction - butt good luck with your venture. Do keep up with the AZT therapy.

Hubby and I drive to work separately because his schedule puts him all over the metro DC area. Candy likes to go to work with her daddy in his truck in the morning. She comes home with me if he's working late.
Did your dog howl at the sound of fire truck sirens? Whenever Candy hears one, she lifts up her head and cuts loose with the most amazing howl. One day I was on the phone with the accountant and Candy started howling at the siren as it went by. The accountant asked me if I was all right. It was so funny.

I bet Candy loves driving in truck wth daddy all over town in morning
and I bet he loves having her with him too
it prolly turns a chore into a joy while he sees her happy face
my dog was named Spes
I dont remember Spes howling at siren, but honey I lived in lower Manhattan
I'm not sure if there was ever a moment without siren going
it was background noise there
I believe Spes reincarnated as Skippy (dog we adopted from pound in Tucson)
yes Skippy howled like that at siren
he did wolf howl
it was strange eerie beautiful
is that what Candy sounds like?
(it's such happy image for me, Candy going in truck with daddy every morning)
then the two of them arrive together at office
and Candy gets to tell you bout her great adventure
Love, Palo
To: palo verde
You described Candy's howl perfectly: strange, eerie and beautiful. She hardly ever barks, so when she makes noise of any kind, we encourage her.
One day we were driving home and a fire engine went by in traffic. Candy started howling in the back seat of my truck. I looked in the rear view mirror and she had her beautiful face pointed skyward, making her soulful noise. The woman in the truck behind me was laughing, too.
As soon as Candy gets to the office in the morning, she goes tearing through the place getting reacquainted with all her chewy toys, rearranging them. She is such a trip.
