Kathleen where are you
is your mil back
did you enjoy 4th of July
Is Candy in your hubby's office, or sleepin' with you
Love, Palo
our captain had an unusual 4th
you won't believe how ex-pats celebrate it in europe
seems westy celebrated it big time too
To: acnielsen guy
ac, granny's weird link is so much fun
is that a falcon?
lol I see the quarters in his mouth
it's funny they can steal the money from the carwash, but they cant spend it
yet
I guess they use it to decorate their nests
oh I forgot falcons dont make nests
it must be toys for them then
To: acnielsen guy
our astronomy pic sure is pretty
To: All
I am back from walkin' Lulu
it is hot and bright here, so I wore sunglasses I found at pool
they helped a lot
now I can't wait to buy myself pretty pair of sunglasses
Lulu liked hanging out at the Mormon fellowship center
no one was there and it was cool and shady all around it
my brick red kitchen is spectacular, I love it
Love, Palo
To: palo verde
I hope you looked glamourous and fashionable talking to the Mormon's in your new shades ;-)
So, you're coming round to the tomato soup paint job??lol
This is just a drive by, as its time to hop on the bike and peddle away all my stress.See you in a while :-)
To: habs4ever
habs, I just read FR thread bout market reboundin'
seems good news happened this mornin'
it was interestin' reading the wide spectrum of views on that thread
the posts were all thoughtful
Love, Palo
I would have posted on it
but whenever I consult my crystal ball these days on anything I dont see a thing
I guess these are dynamic times and even heaven doesnt know how it will all play out
the only message I keep gettin' from spirit (in general) is ''things may rock 'n' roll a lil''
To: palo verde
Morning Sweetness. We're happy that you're liking the brick red kitchen. Did BigBill use any trim color, or are you totally brick red?
The time lapse pic of the moon? is amazingly pretty - the Captain works hard to make this a very worthy and interesting thread. Coin theiving birds - would'a thought such a thing was possible, much less the truth?
Guess I'll scuttle on over to the grocer and see what I need to acquire for feasting this evening. bbl

fofl habs, tomato soup is good description
I think the shade is darker tho
altho when light hits it it is brighter
the shade seems more like red clay than tomato
I love it
Love, Palo
To: lodwick
hi loddy
it sure is sweet of you to cook yummy suppers for mrs L
bill only used paint on hand, which was that brick red and chocolate brown
so whole kitchen is brick red
when he ran out, he used the chocolate brown for the tiny touch-up spots he missed
luckily they blended perfectly
this morning at first I thought white trim would be pretty
now I dont know
it looks very nice this way (to me anyway)
(it took me a day to get used to it tho)
we have wood beams on this side of house, so maybe the trim is wood anyway
it blends with wood now, so has diff look
the ceiling remains white tho, he didnt paint it
we have territorial house with wood beams, built in '47
do you have houses like this where you are
(it may be poured concrete)
the add-on was built in '76, and is block, and has no beams
Love, Palo
To: lodwick; andysandmikesmom
yes captain makes this thread very nice for us
he goes all out to make us happy
Love, Palo
andysmom, did you roll your mouse over lil pic of flowers and see compliment ac gave us gals today
To: palo verde
A few of our older houses have brick construction and some even have basements, but most of the newer homes are semi-cheesie things throw up on concrete slabs.
Your homes were built with nice thick walls to retain what cool there was during the night, and then to be pleasant during the heat of the day. And just the opposite during winter. Yours sounds very nice to me.
I've decided that I would rather have a few bites of the king's food, than an all-you-can-eat buffet of the pauper's.
If that makes any sense to you. ;-)

Lulu and I saw Tara
(the girl who bought Nellie's house)
she sure is pretty gal
now Bill guesses she is doctor
cause most nights her car is gone
(maybe she is resident in hospital)
she is so friendly and nice, maybe next time I will ask her
lol she was wearin' sundress and no underwear
when she was walkin' her friend's dog this mornin'
Love, Palo
To: lodwick
you are right loddy
our walls are hugely thick
and we do not have insulation
the houses I see bein' built round here now are different
they seem to have wood frames
with stucco as surface
To: palo verde
Pops would be very proud of me this evening; the shrimps are chilling, the brats are awaiting grilling along with the marinating chicken mignons, and I've only the dipping sauces left to concoct. Thank you God for all our blessings here in the greatest country on earth. Amen
