Yes, the son does make an awful lot...he likes to take on individual contract jobs, for that high hourly rate...that allows him to work when he wants, because he can earn a lot of money in a small period of time...allows him time to do what he really enjoys(skiing, kayaking, boating, traveling)

Whats really ironic, is that when he returned from his trip, he found out he was eligible for unemployment, from the company who bought out his former company...(When they bought out his former company, they did not offer him a permanent job, because they said they did not know exactly how to classify him as far as job description)...so they just paid him a lot of money to stay on during the transition...after they had him for a month, they realized they made a mistake and should have hired him...but he did not like them, they had already drawn up his severance papers, and when they tried to go back on letting him go, he had a fit...

He wanted to leave, to pursue his dream of his round the world trip...so no matter what they offered, ,he was not biting...

Then when he got back from his trip, he found out he was also eligible for unemployment, which was great...it allowed him lots of extra time, to look for a job he really liked..he likes to contract himself out for jobs, that he can do at home on his computer at his own pace...so far hes been lucky to be in demand...

At least the hubby and I do not have to worry about him or his future...parents always worry about their kids, not matter how old...

A most interesting funeral. I think I'm in love with your family - so many characters among them.

I hope someone has preserved all their antics to paper. JL

how ideal
he can work at home on his own puter
make big bucks
and when the job is done, he can pursue whatever he wants
I am so happy andy worked out this wonderful way of working, andysmom
it allows for lots of freedom, happiness, and plenty of moola :)

Actually this is a project, I am saving for the fall time...when the kids go back to school, I will begin writing up all these little 'family' stories...

I have actually already started making a list of interesting stories that need to be included...

My son does get a big kick out of both sides of our family...he says, hes never seen such wacky families, on both my side and my hubbys side...but he finds it all very fun...

He also says, hes glad that the hubby and I met and got married(obviously, otherwise he would not exist)...but he finds both of us and our families so odd, that he doubts that anyone else in the world would have married me, nor that anyone else would have married my hubby(is that a compliment or an insult)...he just thinks we are both somewhat wacky, and that our families are also rather nutty...so that combo, to him, anyway, provides for entertainment...

Well, I need to leave for a while...need to enter the mundane world of bill paying and finish preparing those combo sandwiches....

Should be able to return later for a little while anyway, and will then present my second fudge story...

See ya later...

lol andysmom I read in new age book that all families are soap operas
(this made me feel much better bout my family)
but seems to me your family on both sides, broke the mold
I find it so much fun they escaped the soap opera curse

Good job - I happy to know that you've begun the fun.
Be sure and print them out or save them somewhere in
addtion to your hard disk.
I just went through the trauma of having one fail, and even the computer gurus here were unable to salvage anything!

I'm still waiting to see if Gateway is going to do right, or no.
