Good morning, AC. Very interesting article by Fred. My husband would disagree. He hated being single, and he was the one that had to do the fast talking to get me to marry him! I didn't think being single was all that bad.

I read ava gardner's autobiography
that was her job, I guess she grew up on tobacco farm

she made it sound like quite a process

She was an absolute Devil Palo.. She taught me everything I know..and we were very close although we were 17 years apart.. Her children and I grew up like sisters, even tho I was Auntie Jude..and we are still very close.

Her daughter, my sister and myself were all pregnant together when I had my daughter Sherri.. So there are three cousins that are very close in age.

I was little girl when Showboat came out
I didn't pay attention to movie stars
my favorite movies were Calamity Jane and Lily (with Leslie Caron)
but after Showboat when someone asked, who is your favorite movie star
I said that pretty girl in Showboat
I noticed her prettiness, and I liked it
I don't think I understood the movie tho, I was too young for it

it seems studio got swamped with fanmail from little girls older than me
saying they liked her

I saw her in movie on old movies channel few years ago, maybe called ''the little hut''
with two british actors (David Niven and ?)

(they are shipwrecked on island)
it was fun watching her prettiness in that too
she was the prettiest of all the actresses
