Now is this the "tolerance" that drives you to applaud tossing out everything that has the slightest hint of a Creator's influence in the structure and success of our nation?

I have very little tolerance for those who are themselves intolerant.

I am willing to give the creator all possible credit for anything he can be proven to a legal certainty to have done for us. No 'self evident' claims need apply.

Examples? How did he pacify them? By building the Interstates? By appointing Warren as Chief Justice? By endorsing Brown v Board of Ed and by backing up the decision with federal troops? Sorry Swerve but upon reading that I visualized a snake swallowing itself. You determine who is intolerant. And then you are intolerant toward them. Interesting philosophy.

Ike didn't capitulate. he tossed them some lagniappe. Every president does it for party political reasons. That does not make it less odious. They didn't have enough power to force a capitulation on any major issue.

"Moderate Wings" never elected anybody to anything.

Moderate wings have elected everyone. No party has ever had a secure majority of the electorate. The moderate wings of the parties compete for the independant voters who are a majority. The only time a radical wing of a party elects a candidate is when the other party chosed someone either more radical or hated for someother reason.

I only judge those who have made very intolerant public statements. People who write monotheism into law, which is what the phrase in question does, are intollerant.
