I got an email today from a very close friend who is finishing her masters degree in teaching. She has this one summer class she is taking...she was saying it's about "Culture and Responsibility" and is a harangue about how unfair life is and how the poor have zero opportunity to advance and how it is a "myth" that the harder one works, the greater off one will be.
She says she won't have any teeth left from all the grinding after this class.

OMG, Mo......I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom's dog. All the older folks I've known who have pets seem to develop a near dependence on them and really suffer when they lose them.

My mother-in-law lost Teddy, who had been a constant companion to her after Pops died, and they wound up giving her sedatives. She was never able to have kids and Teddy filled a real void.
