When the wind came up this afternoon as it always does, the fire started again and we are covered in smoke down on the ground instead of over us. The freeway is closed and the cars are just parked there for as far as the eye can see. 104° or better. Scary for those people cooped up in their cars.
What is bouldering? I don't recall ever hearing that term.
No, I haven't had time to read yet. I began it a couple of times but the words were so general and open to interpretation that I had to stop (before I fell asleep - you are right! LOL).
Think coooooooooool! I hope your evenings cool down like ours do.

My husband always wanted a boat, but we could never afford one, not really, what with paying for college and all, and needing repairs to our house...
Its just ironic, that our son, bought the motorboat....of course, he has no responsibilites other than himself, and he makes a fortune compared to my husband....
So I guess the son will have to give his dad a ride in his boat...
Good for Bill, getting ready for his activities...hes a caving and bouldering man...
What is that Lulu up to this time of day?
To: lodwick
Well, what can one say...that bassety pic is, like Palo says, heaven....its sooo big, and wonderful...thanks, Loddy...you sure know what Palo and I like...
To: okimhere
hi oki
I'm sorry fire has started up again
Why did they close the freeway, they have to let those people drive home and get out of their cars
the sooner the better
it is much too uncomfortable to be cooped up in car in 104° heat
I am glad you are home
bouldering is like dancing with the rock, you're not very far off the ground so you don't need a rope, you put your feet in the little crevasses and move around rock like a spider
Bill loves it
I loved playing on rocks when I was a kid, but bouldering requires technique (and you have to be thin!!)
it's pretty to watch tho
Love, Palo

Bill decided to mop the floors before he left, and put the dogs' water trough up on counter
I didn't know that
I didn't know why Lulu was crying
luckily I figured it out and brought their water trough in my room so they could drink while Bill was mopping
they drank together at it
it was so cute
now she found cool spot in house and is lying flat froggie
how she finds cool spot in house beats me
Dizzy would be miserable
the only motor boats I rode in as kid were row boats with outboard motors
what kind did your son buy
this is so exciting
he's gonna love it

To: andysandmikesmom, palo verde,
heheh - if anyone wants to change their screen name to Basset Lover, it's available.
I love to type in names, just to see if they're registered. I know, sick guy with way too much time on my fingers.
Weren't those classic basset poochies? Those hounds at once are so goofy, so spastic, so heroic, and so funny - they do have it all for me. bbl
Keep having fun, we've paid for it!
Use all the bandwidth you wish to use.

fofl loddy I am gettin' such a kick out of your posts
it is luxurious knowin' we can use as much bandwidth as we want
you did good job at makin' us all happy
lol when andysmom was banned at Lcom for misbehavior (her fighting problem got her into trouble :) she had to change her screename to sneak back in
she chose ''redwood''
I'm sprised now she didn't choose something with basset in it
altho I love redwoods too

You use of terms is so funny...the water trough...makes it sound like little piggies are going to drink...tho if Lulu is such a noisy drinker as Helga was, and you have told us she was a noisy drinker, then I guess 'water trough' is an appropiate term....They need their water in your hot weather
I have no idea what kind of motorboat my son bought..we are just going to wait, until we can go and see it, and hopefully get a ride...tho motorboats are not really appealing to me...I prefer bigger boats, like ferryboats...the hubby likes speedboats and motorboats...
I have a silly fear of water...I get nervous in small boats, when we drive up and down the Oregon and California coastline, I am always afraid of Tidal Waves, and really fearful of 'sneaker' waves along the coastline...
I also dream a lot about tidal waves, and even scarey dreams, where I am in small motorboats, but surrounded by big waves...
Yet, I am not afraid to be on big Ferryboats, not afraid to swim in small lakes, not afraid of water in general...I just have my little quirks...
So, I doubt very much, that I will be going for a ride in the sons motorboat...

your mom is such a trip
she's like the Queen of England
lol you live with a star

She surprised the hell out of me yesterday when she said she was happy about my romance and wouldn't mind moving with me when the time comes....she is also happy I can quit working very soon....I think this visit with my sister was good for the Queen...she realized a lot of things while there.

Yes, it is surprising that when I changed my screenname at L.com, I did not include 'bassets' somewhere in the name...
Again, Loddy, thanks for that pic of those bassets...I have downloaded it to my own computer....those are just classic basset faces...and classic fat stumpy tootsies...and of course, its classic that they are on the couch, because of course, bassets think that couches were invented for their convenience and comfort...
To: andysandmikesmom
a ferryboat is certainly not a chris craft
altho I have had scary dreams of tidal waves coming to get me
my brother is into kayacking now like your son
when I was kid I turned up my nose at canoe my dad bought, I wanted fast speed boat
but now the idea of paddling canoe on lake appeals to me
(too bad there are no lakes on the desert)

what andysmom said
the pic captures bassets to a T

Mom was banned from anywhere?!
That is sick!
I'm glad that all you Freeople and DDoor types got banned.
It's FR's gain and stupid Lucy's loss.
Screw the egotistical bitch. This makes me angry.

The dream experts, whatever that is, say, that bad dreams concerning water are very common....And yet, fearful as I am about Tidal Waves, I love to watch movies, ,like the Poseidon Adventure, where they show Tidal Waves...its like I am fascinated by those things which I really fear...
'Sneaker' waves along the Pacific coast, are very real...its like you are running along the beach, and the waves are just regular small waves...its happened where people have turned their backs to the ocean, and all of a sudden, a huge enormous wave comes along out of nowhere, and sweeps them out, and often drowns them...
That happened once up in Mendocino California,(where Murder she Wrote was filmed)just a years ago...
A woman was just being a tourist, and climbing around some rocks and boulders, bordering the ocean, in Mendocino
All of a sudden out of nowhere, other tourists saw this huge wave come crashing in, and it swept that woman right off the boulders, and she drowned...
To: palo verde
where exactly did you camp?On the right of the pic at the end of the village is a curving dark line..That is a thicket of scrub trees..The village dump is in the near end of it...Was away from the noise of the village and Baja dumps are clean..Only rusty cans and plastic shopping bags....There are not always RV parks about when night fall comes..So you do the best you can.
Could have staid right in the village, but would you like some stranger camping in front of your house?
.......Westy...(:-)
