That sounds like a realistic and attainable goal. You'll do it. :)

Understand totally. Our habits/addictions/whatever are toughies. Plus WE have to want to make the change before it'll ever happen. And sometimes that's even tougher. ;-)

I read somewhere that it takes our tummies twenty minutes to get to our brains the message that they are FULL.
So this author's take was to eat only half your normal amount of chow, wait 20min and see if there was any hunger around.

I know you're right, I just haven't managed to cut out ALL soda yet (I call it "pop" because I'm from the Pacific Northwest *L*) I am only drinking two cans of diet pop a day, though - and drinking water water water.

Speaking of dogs, Mandy, My Welsh Corgi, had her first ever official doggie beauty parlor trip!!!
What a hoot....she is so danged cute...I had forgotten what her little legs looked like!
The groomer knew why I was shearing her and so as I picked her up, I asked about shearing earlier--thinking earlier in the year-- and she said, "Honey, she really needs to be shorn twice a year. She's got more hair than most any dog should and it will come back in even thicker".
So, I'll have it done probably at the end of September/first of October--depending on how I see regrowth for winter.
Mandy's really ripping it up around here, so she must really like the idea of being near nekkid! The gal said it was a hoot because with her 'near no leg' condition, she had a devil of a time trying to keep her upright or even sitting on her rear end--Mandy just wanted to lay down or roll over!

Way to go - you're getting there. And another thing, water is sooooo much cheaper than pop.
That's what I always called it also, back in the day. ;-)

If you go to www.joshgroban.com you can listen to his entire album while online. It's great.

I've read that also. It works. At least it does for me. I eat just about anything I want I just eat smaller portions but it fills me up. Honestly, I can't eat too much at one sitting. I do drink real cokes, too. I think it also makes a difference if you have a daily workout, some form of exercise.

Yep, nothing is better for the complexion than a lot of water. As kids we are told to never drink anything before bed (obvious reasons for kids) but now I find it is important to have a glass of water before bed, because my skin looks so much better in the morning.

Darlin', water is great and icy cold water is better. It supposedly burns more calories as metabolism increases in response to it.
To: catpuppy
Really ? I didn't know that but that is how I drink it. The colder the better. :)

I don't believe the story of the forest service employee who claims now that she was burning a "get lost" letter from her ex when the fire started. No man is going to write more than a page or two, if he bothers to write anything (not likely). The papers would burn and it would be over with. She had to have had a shovel and other equipment with her while she was patrolling the no-fires zone. She must have had some training, too. This is a way fishy story.
To: ValerieUSA
Well I certainly think the reaction to it is exaggerated. Her crime was being stupid and careless, but it was still an accident. They're treating her as if she planned to burn the entire state.

Great website Val...thanks...I will need quite a bit of time, to explore this website..tho I did take the time to click onto Snoqualmie Falls
We were there several months ago, in the evening, and it sure was beautiful...every time we go to Snoqualmie Falls, I hear that eerie, 'Twin Peaks' music going through my head...

To avoid a maximum sentance she must make restitution. Never mind the 25 houses she burned down, what is 100,000 acres of timber worth?
I am still not sure she is telling the truth or that this was accidental

She was on patrol to tell citizens NOT to burn fires. (If she had any intention of doing her duty.)
She didn't accidentally start a fire against all rules - she intentionally started a fire. She set herself above the law she was there to enforce.
The idiot was not qualified for her job at all. Why was she hired? Affirmative action? Making sure they met their stupid woman quota?
She wasn't a teenager with a broken heart and a first job - she is a 38 yr old FOOL who was pissed off.
I do not believe the current version of her ever-changing story. If she wasn't obese, I would suspect she might have been part of a meth lab outfit - they like setting up in the forests. Most of them are middle-aged idiots.
To: Servant of the Nine
It is my understanding that she volunteered the information. There is no way an individual could ever make restitution for something like that. I feel very bad for her.
