Thank goodness, our temps have returned to normal today...yesterday was miserable, until it finally got dark out, and the cool temps returned...

Even poor Dizzy was suffering...he did not want to be held or pet or anything...he just stretched out on the kitchen floor, and tried to absorb some of the cooler breezes coming in from the kitchen windows...

Hes a Himalayan kitty, so he says, he needs the cooler temps fo the Himalayan Mts...enough of this heat...

To one and all...Happy Flag Day....we have our regular flag out back, that one is always up...then we just installed another holder out front, and are using the flag that my husband has had since he was a boy...that one we fly only on special occasions, as its very old, and we fear that leaving it outside each day, will just age it all the more...Once we take that one down, we will put up the newer flag my husband bought...we also have an American Flag windsock flying in a tree...

In our little housing area, Flags are up all over...right after 9/11 more and more flags went up, so when you drive through our neighborhood, one is greeted by lots and lots of flags....its really a grand sight...

Yes, I finally did manage to put some clothes on...I can see why Palo says she post in a sundress, and just about nothing else...and she is used to hot weather...

You give us Pacific Northwesterners that dang hot weather, and of course, we act like little babies, whine, and act as if we are dying...I am just glad our temps have returned to normal, and I can wear clothes when I post...

Yes, indeed Dizzy did have a bad time of it this week, first with the marauding recliner grabbing him, and holding him hostage, and then he had to sweat and groan about his big furry kitty coat, in the heat...

He would have been even more upset if our original plans for the weekend held out...we were going to go up to Seattle to see the son, and attend a beer festival...we would have left on Saturday, and returned on Monday...

But the son was not going to be in Seattle, and we decided it was too expensive to spend the whole weekend up in Seattle just for a beer festival, if we were not able to see the son...

The son will actually be here, down in Olympia, over the weekend...he just bought a motor boat, and has a bbq planned with the girlie friend, and then some kayaking...so in between all his activities, we hope he will have time to stop in and say Howdy....These young folks, always on the go...of course, we the parents, are down far on his list of things to do and see...seems like motor boating, kayaking, girl friend and bbq are more important...as well they should be...

Besides, last weekend, the hubby went up to Seattle, to spend a sports Sunday with the son, so perhaps that will have to do for his fathers day weekend...

So at least for this weekend, Dizzy can breath easy, because his mommy and daddy will be with him, instead of leaving him all alone for a few days...
