You sure are right about Mt. Rainier being beautiful but dangerous...three climbers died up there 8 days ago, and now two more climbers have died...
Westy, I see where Wayne Cody died today, of a heart attack...I was reading an article about him, and it said, he was once doing a sportscast live from Nebraska, and he got his lips on the microphone, and they froze there, because it was so cold...
Kind of like that scene in the movie, 'A Christmas Story' where the kid gets 'triple-dog-dared' to put his tongue on the metal pole, and it froze there...

hi westy
thanks for flying saucer link
I learned stuff on it I didn't know
I didn't know they were first seen in your neck of woods, back in '47
'47 seems to be the date when the sightings all began
(ufo crash in Roswell, New Mexico took place in August '47 too)
Love, Palo

Your post's read like they from that movie...."you'll shoot you're eye out""...LOL
To: habs4ever
I just love that movie...I love it when on Christmas Day, they run it for 24 hours...thats 12 times in a row...
But I especially love it, when once in a while, they will run it off season....
Nothing better than watching 'A Christmas Story' in the middle of the summer
Ooohhhh, Fuuuuuudge....
To: habs4ever
no habs
that is what makes it so interesting
she looks like elegant woman having tea with the queen
but she has atmosphere of magnolias around her

It never seems to get stale, even after tons of viewings.Jean Shepherd sure had a sweet way of telling a story.
To: palo verde
it was reduced down to $9 I'm reading way back here and trying to catch up - puff, puff! One thing that Wynona Ryder is charged with is trying to steal a pocketbook worth $3,600.00. I couldn't help but think that should be in your collection. ($3600!!!???)
To: westmex
Now that motorhome, is just too cool...I can see me and the hubby and Dizzy sitting up top, drinking beer, watching the sunset, and just enjoying our lives...As my hubby just said to me the other day, we are now on countdown to retirement...35 more months and counting...
To: habs4ever
Jean Shepherd...a national treasure...what a way with words, and a way of so clearly, portraying that innocent time...
To: habs4ever
I agree habs
Jean Shepherd did have sweet way of tellin' a story
To: okimhere
Now, if we all chip in for the next couple years, we can buy our dear Palo that expensive pocketbook for an upcoming birthday or Christmas present
Good grief, what is it made out of, gold and little diamonds?
To: andysandmikesmom;all
Ok, this time I'm off to never never land.Sweet dreams fellow flakes!!
