I thought I would repost my reply to diamond6 of a few days ago.

"I don't believe it will go 7" by diamond6
I think ad revenue is severely down at NBC and it will definitely go 7. Did you see the foul they called on Funderburk near the end ? Even Michael Jordan did not get calls like that. The refs handed the game to the Lakers. And the refs will hand game 6 to the loser of game 5. How often to you hear an annoucer say "If that is not a foul, then why have a rule book" (quote by Bill Walton and Shaq elbowing Divac and Walker grabbing Divac while driving to the basket).

NBC & the NBA wanted a game seven in Sac town on Sunday - they got it.I guess the idea of having a Game 7 Eastern/Western Conference Final Double Header on Sunday was just too much for them to handle which is why they had the Celtics lose game 6, ending that series.
NBC is going to show a Saved By The Bell marathon in place of the Celtics/Nets finally.

I honestly believe game 5 was awarded to Sacramento. I was disgusted.
I didn't see tonight because I was disgusted and refused to watch (there goes the ad revenue). From what I am reading I get the impression that game 6 was awarded to LA?
All I can say is when Vlade was with LA he NEVER was awarded the flopping fouls in a season that he was awarded in that ONE game 5. It was total BS!

The kings/laker series is the marquee match up. You have shaq and kobe who are the two NBA players with the most name recognition. The kings/lakers are a much more attractive tv ratings getter than a nets/celtics series. Now if Jordan were playing for either the nets or celts, I think you would have seen game 7 in that series too.

Between that BS and the strikes these players take, (screw them)!
I don't watch baseball, football or basketball like I used to. The strikes bittered my taste to it and the calls by refs on all sides doesn't make it worth my time.

That's why I don't watch and can't tell you a single sponsor that paid for ads in those games!
Revenue has been way down in basketball - gee - I wonder why?

Don't just tell others they are stupid, tell us all WHY we are stupid. When you can cite one single instance where I used the term stupid in describing another participant of this thread, I'll tell you WHY I used that term.

Bibby was in the wrong place at the wrong time I disagree completely. NBA guards and Kobe in particular is graceful and have great body control. They can judge a shot blocker's jump and reach down to one or two millimeters. This elbow was intentional. The only time you can get an inadvertent elbow is during a scrap for a loose ball or in a rebounding situation where the clumsy 7 foot thugs are battling it out.

Was Bibby the one all over Kobe on the last shot of game 5? He fouled the he'll out of Kobe and they didn't call it. If Refs called even that ONE out of the 4 last bad calls of game 5, Lakers would have won game 5 too.

First of all, that was meant to be sarcasm. Too subtle. I wanted you to not namecall and discuss. You just had many comments like put the bong down, implying people that disagreed with you were crybabies, etc. That serves no purpose, that is my point. I also agree with the last game being handed to SAC.

the referrees were obvioulsy instructed to let the lakers win... "..unbelievable calls and NON calls the Lakers did not win....the game was given to them by the nba. gee, do you think 28 free throws in the fourth quarter were enough for the lakers?"
Could NOT have been more obvious, do they really think we're all that stupid???
To: Richard Axtell, FreedomSurge, ambrose
Ok I am sorry if I got a little out of hand with my celebrating but the refs have sucked all series. I agree they sucked tonight...but what about all those fouls on Derrik Fisher? What about Shaq continually getting hit in the face?
My hope is the refs let them play on Sunday...and may the best team (Lakers) win. Rick Adelman will choke as heas has done every time he tries to beat a defending champion (twice before)
As for all the comments about "fixed", the ratings were higher for the Maverics/Kings than any Laker series...if you are the black helicopter type, the fix is in for the Kings.

What a bunch of morons!

I think game 7 will be fair. The NBA wants an honest championship, but they just changed the rules so that it will be more like college. Instead of a 7 game series to determine the winner, you get a one game series and a whole lot of dollars for the NBA, NBC, and the referees union.

The last non call was Bibbys blody nose. Unbeleaveable. oh come on. Cobe was trying to get around Bibby with the "swim move," but Bibby had his arm around Kobe's waist. Bibby pulled himself into Kobe's arm. I like Bibby... he's a great player... so was his dad. But his chin was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kobe didn't mean to catch his jaw, but that's the game ... Bibby isn't whining about it. He took it like a man. So its time his fans stopped whining too.

So its time his fans stopped whining too.I'm willing to afford them the benefit of the doubt and conclude that there are outside influences dictating their demeanor..................either they didn't get a long enough nap today or they have a diaper that needs changing.
To: hole_n_one
The NBA is racist, and they just don't want the Kings to become the modern day Rosa Parks of basketball.

Can't argue with that one. They at times do things to make my tin foil hat & sports conspiracy theory look stupid. Still thought the game was horribly officiated - throughout.
