Plant about 10 pounds of shallots and 3 pounds of garlic, wait till it is all eaten and the squirrels will be preseasoned and ready for the stewpot.

the suspicious synchronization between the absences of Ringy and Ratty

Swerve, I had begun to have suspicions. You may be on to something here. Has Ringy shown any signs of having been around the Rattguy?

I haven't seen Rowdee for a couple of days either. I guess that explains why. I was wondering last night where she was. It is so sad to lose someone you love, even if they're 4-legged.

Good grief. Do squirrels do that ? Do they eat flower bulbs ? That may explain it. I planted caladiums in two seperate batches this year. I tried a new supplier and wanted to see what his stock would produce ... so I got a small batch to try,. they did great and so I ordered lots more.... The second batch has been mostly dug up and they look to be chewed on. I thought it might be cats... I never thought about squirrels. I have a ton of squirrels... armies of them. LOL

I don't know just how that works out. I just know that he was in the Navy and he told me stories about some of his jumps. I know he did halo jumps....and NO, not from a ship!

She is still coherent, so it's hard to tell, but she has been down by the river, and he is a wharffratt.

Bessie found Flash. (she's good. like a darned bloodhound)He says the number he has for Rowdee doesn't work. He says when he calls it, some old geezer answers and says no one by that name lives there. Groan. I just got knocked off line, too.

YES, they do that. I never knew it, either. They've eaten every one of my freesia bulbs, have started in on the glads. I hate those suckers. They are like rats with tails. Worse, they have their own food. So it isn't like they are hungry. They even ate my million bells. Scores of empty hanging baskets dangling from pecan trees. These are huge baskets, and they are just empty. Big holes where the plants once lived.

In Colorado we had a problem with skunks and coons getting into the garden. I got one of those motion sensor frogs that the eyes light up and they "ribbet." Seemed to solve the problem...at least till Tyler decided it was a toy and kept relocating it. Kept the cats from peeing in the herbs too.

Oh that was what I did too. I would keep just 2 or 3 at a time in her room, but there was a huge stack of them in the spare room and somebody left the door open. Oh yeah, grandparents are great at things like puzzles, play make-up, noisemakers and lego sets with 5 million pieces.
