Hi Nully, Sorry about the delay in responding...am in and out of the office and meetings today.
No reported problems with the quake or eight aftershocks. It appears structures down here are constructed pretty well...if not, they probably fell down a looong time ago.
We have some wine glasses on a shelf and when they start "ringing", everyone runs around trying to catch stuff about to fall off of shelfs.
Man there are a LOT of quakes down here. Much more than when I was in Peru. There was a quake in Peru in 1970 that killed about 70,000 and all the damage was in the valley where I was living and working. The gov. made a shrine out of one of the towns that was almost completely buried, and you can visit the place and see parts of buses and walls sticking out of the debris-flow material.
We've had a lot of rain and snow in the mountains...more snow on the ground now than received all last season. I think they call it a "mini El Niño". We'll see just how "mini" it is?

Catpuppy, stay safe from the bears. I don't want to have to worry about you while I am in England. I wonder if there are bears there?

.38...I got Ozzie a 357 for a gift and it has never been fired. The 44 Mag has. As to the WW I am going to t ry to be real careful while on the trip. But I am not going to take all the WW stuff along..can't afford the space in the bag. Just weighed the big one and it is 65 lbs..5 short of the max. Besides, Brit food tends to be a bit bland so I can just pick and choose and skip stuff that looks icky like bangers....

I have checked things at least 3 times and more and pulled things out. Thank god for big zip lock bags that can have the air squished out. Saves some room.

It is 8:30 and I have a few things to do before I do the distribution world thing for email asking folks to hold off until I get home on the 21st June. Can you imagine the slowdownd of the puter with all that on there all at once?

Wish I had a digital camera..one that does video and snaps at the same time or at least has the capability for that..

Rowdee...hug the kitties for me and I hope they are doing ok. Missie hurled a huge furball yesterday and now she is behaving like her old self..not just sitting in her little bed scaring the shi*& out of me. she is eating well and seems ok so I won't worry so much now.

Nully, you be nice too. Lisaanne can clobber you if you aren't! LOL and Darlin. give Wings a big hug for me and Flash too...have not heard from that rascal since he got the picture! Hummmmmm..and ringy..time for Miss Molly to start swimming lessons under the yard sprinkler! I am sure I have left someone out..don't mean to. I am just having a brain infarct at the moment due to fatigue...anyway, I'll try to check in aging before I leave in the morning. Smoochies to you all and I will try to get postcards to Ringy and 38!
