lol hubbies have talent for makin' home feel secure
when he leaves at first (at night) I find myself listenin' to every sound
but after a while I relax and get used to bein' alone
I think maybe they have knack for warmin' up the house
To: habs4ever
rofl you never believe me when I say those are acceleration symptoms
usually they only last 24 hours tho
we sure teased you a lot when you were gone
 westy too
he's off lookin' for new sex links now
To: palo verde
I am used to being alone at night, because the hubby works at night...but with him out of town, for this long, I am always a little more leary...tho, I have had to learn to cope with him being out of town, not just on his travels...when he was in the army, he was always out of town, either TDY or field trips, or summer camps...
But no matter how many times he goes away, and how used I am supposed to be to having him gone, I am always thrilled when he returns...
You are right, having our hubbies at home, makes the home more warm..

did your hubby have fun in the army
I know westy did not enjoy his experience
but back on tos there was an article which said lots of higher-ups were quittin' cause it had just stopped bein' fun for them
 (this was two years ago)
it was my first idea that army was fun
when I was on email with sgt at tos
I asked him if it was fun
 and he said yes
but he still was happy to retire (last june)
he wanted to come back from korea and be with his family
 love, palo
To: andysandmikesmom
he was chris in korea, had basset hound who liked to eat french fries
 forget her name
 now he has two bassets
To: palo verde
I know of him.I think he's still there in Korea and he posts on TOS, certainly on the Weekend Roundtable :-)

Well, my hubby spent 10yrs in the full time active army, and 16 years in the army reserves, and like the rest of life, there were ups and there were downs...but it was an experience for him, and for our whole family, which we loved, and looking back on it, it was an experience that we are so glad that we had...a life spent in the army, is not for everyone, but for us, it was grand...
My husband is very proud of the time he put into the military...he once told me, the reason he went into the army, was because it was the best way he could come up with, of being able to protect his wife, his boys, and his country, all at the same time
So, yes, he is so glad that he spent so much time in the army...But he put his time in, and he is also very glad to be retired...he said, enough is enough, time to hang it up...and that is what he did...
To: habs4ever
    hi habs
he never joined us here on FR altho we told him we were here and how to get on
I wondered if he chose to stay on TOS
I first met him in middle of night, cause Korea is on diff schedule than Tucson USA
he said he posts on both FR and Lcom
it was before I moved over to FR
his 20 years was up last June and he returned to Mississippi
he said his name would now be Chris in Miss
I don't know why he's back in Korea
maybe he just kept his old screenname
 he's a very nice guy
 love, palo

Well, its that time of night, Dizzy is in here with me, rubbing up against my legs, telling me its time I got offline, and spent some extra time with him...he misses his daddy, so I guess he expects me to do double duty...
Got an email from the hubby via his friend, telling me of their meeting with Mr. Magoo and how they found Al Capones grave right away, and took lots of pics, of the grave and also of Mr. Magoo and his car...
Tomorrow, my hubby is going to visit with one of my cousins and his mom, my auntie Wanda...shes getting pretty old now, probably around 87 or so, and my hubby will visit with her for a day...she enjoys my husband, and is really happy when he comes to see her when he visits Chicago...I dont return to Chicago, so the hubby always likes to visit my relatives and let them know what is going on with us...I think they are going to visit the cemetary where me and my cousin have our grandparents and great grandparent buried, and also my brother is buried near them...
So hopefully the hubby will take some gravestone rubbing of their graves as well...
The hubby sure is being kept busy...but he loves it...
Well, need to go and pay attention to Dizzy, and get myself some dinner...
See ya all tomorrow...
To: palo verde;all
Maybe there is another one in Korea too.I'll check tomorrow :-)
I think I better take something and go to be as the tummy is acting up again. So, goodnight ladies and gents, though not sure if we can call AC that, after his behaviour today ;-)Be good my pretties!!

sounds like your hubby liked it when he was in, and is happy to be out now
chris in korea felt same way
he was glad to be comin' home, and wanted to have new job driving truck
chris in korea was interestin' guy, I never met anyone with so much talent for happiness
I'm used to knowin' people who have talent for making themselves miserable
I think chris is unusual guy
To: habs4ever

Westy, I'm sorry.. thought I put the url on there. It is under Gallery's. Here is the url again..
http://members2.clubphoto.com/_cgi-bin/members/compact_slide_show.pl?album_item_id=594239
These are peoples albums.. Some of the photos aren't that clear when enlarged.. This url seems to copy wrong. Try it and see, otherwise go into Galleries.

I thought the colors in this one were beautiful..
