Well, my hubby spent 10yrs in the full time active army, and 16 years in the army reserves, and like the rest of life, there were ups and there were downs...but it was an experience for him, and for our whole family, which we loved, and looking back on it, it was an experience that we are so glad that we had...a life spent in the army, is not for everyone, but for us, it was grand...

My husband is very proud of the time he put into the military...he once told me, the reason he went into the army, was because it was the best way he could come up with, of being able to protect his wife, his boys, and his country, all at the same time

So, yes, he is so glad that he spent so much time in the army...But he put his time in, and he is also very glad to be retired...he said, enough is enough, time to hang it up...and that is what he did...

sounds like your hubby liked it when he was in, and is happy to be out now
chris in korea felt same way
he was glad to be comin' home, and wanted to have new job driving truck
chris in korea was interestin' guy, I never met anyone with so much talent for happiness
I'm used to knowin' people who have talent for making themselves miserable
I think chris is unusual guy
