I suppose you're trying to say you watched the movies instead.....
To: sweetliberty
And of course...... with your bra on.....

His exchange with Demo suck-up Helen Thomas was worth while to read.
The White House press are such total maroons. They actually think we don't know what they're trying to do.
I met and talked to one of those morons on a Washington DC subway once. He was trying to pretend he was "objective".
Yeah right....I believed him too....
We're developing long memories now. So they better watch out.

Poor Ratty...
Doesn't understand simple and elegant movements.

"I suppose you're trying to say you watched the movies instead....." I did!

Did you have a date?
To: catpuppy
"All magnolia women are serene, smart and steel in a lovely, soft sort of way." *Smooch*
To: Prentice
"Did you have a date?" I was not allowed to go to the drive-in on dates until my senior year. I was a good girl Prentice. I would not have been allowed to date Ratty. Catpuppy, on the other hand, probably knew just what to say to parents to convince them that their daughters were in the best possible hands....no pun intended.

Speaking of movies, I just got back from seeing Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.

As far as the homosexual marriage issue, I couldn't disagree more. Legitimizing perversion just dilutes and cheapens real marriage within the context of the culture. To me, it is very much the same thing as teaching a child that sex before marriage is wrong and then instructing them in the use of birth control. I realize that some people don't see a conflict here. I see a serious conflict.
To: null and void
What? You're not going to stop me this time?
To: sweetliberty
No parent in their right mind would let their daughter date the Rat. Why would any daughter want one anyway?
How was the movie?
To: lodwick
Definitely, the Great Depression played a big role in how most prior generations act/think. While I haven't looked in any sort of depth [putting off til a rainy (?) day (LOL) doing any sort of studying--anyway, it appears, or I am inclined to believe this was all done to satisfy the requirements for federal loan programs or subsidy programs.
It is quite similar to some of the stuff that was required when I was in agriculture and we borrowed from the farm credit program.
I'll tell ya, loddy, the getting rid of smoking after 40 years was totally due to God. I'd tried numerous times to quit and for one reason or another, never quite got it done.
But God answered my prayer for the strength to make it through---I can honestly say I've never craved the taste of a cigarette once since then. In the beginning, I had the urge for something in my mouth--I put on pounds that are now coming off--but God took the nicotine need away.

Quitting was easy.
I quit smoking at least 100 times...
:-)

I really enjoyed it, but then I LOVE Star Wars. There was an incredible lot of action in it. Very intense. There were some interesting new twists and Yoda was awesome! And the battle with all the jedis weilding theri light sabers at once was something to behold. The dialogue could have been better and the acting wasn't as great as it could have been, although Obi Wan was very convincing. I was very impressed with him.

I really liked the original 3, but thought that Jar-Jar and Anakin ruined the last one....
Did you think it was better or worse than the last one?
To: sweetliberty
To me, it is very much the same thing as teaching a child that sex before marriage is wrong and then instructing them in the use of birth control. Exactly. It may be nice to tell your children that sex before marriage is wrong, but most of them are gonna do it anyway, people always have. Far better to seem a little hypocritical by having a fallback position and teaching sexual hygene and birth control than to have a child with AIDs or have a bastard grandchild.

BTW....what did you think of Spider Man?
To: sweetliberty
How long will you be in looney land Portland?
Mere days, sl. The long left coast nightmare is almost over and soon I will enjoy the comfort of humidity and mosquitoes again just as God intended.
