If we let it. I am NOT saying that you have an easy row to hoe. Not by any means.

And Poor old Yanqui Mo has to raise three DAUGHTERS. That can't be any fun either.

But, I will ALWAYS defend the rights of the Individual, because I KNOW that mechanisms exist within our society and outside of Gov't that HELP people with terrible circumstances.

Do gooders ALWAYS feel like their services are needed, but when they have the power of the G'ovt behind them, that is when they become terribly DANGEROUS.

Valerie and Ratty: I agree with you both. I HATE the intrusion of Government and I HATE the damage drugs can do to the young people. But I also know from raising two children in the "Pentecostal church" that one serves God today and is stable and the other went through about 10 years of problems with drugs. Today, because of praying parents and God's promises, he is doing much better and has left his "old life" behind. Only God knows where the strengh of character in each of us comes from. Both my sister and I were brought up in a home full of alcoholics, no faith, my mother eventually committ suicide and yet my sister and I both serve the Lord and are not boozers!! In your case Val, I really really understand the battle you are going through for the souls of your boys, but just STAND on God's promises because they are yea and amen!! Love Lynn

I've met these mechanisms. Landlords who won't fix faulty wiring and broken locks... car salesmen who lie and take advantage... men friends who lie and take advantage... family members who want control over your life or your children for any help they offer... bosses that pay the lowest possible wage for topnotch work because they know you can't afford to quit... churches that deliver nice baskets of food twice a year... neighbors who steal bikes... other neighbors who buy alcohol for the kids...
