Good morning! Looks like everyone else is out enjoying the day. It is a lovely one here. I'll be out and about later.

Still overcast here. I'm watching Columbo and reading the thread about how Clinton just keeps sinking lower and lower as he rips the guts out of the almost non-existent Arkansas budget to build his monument to decadence, even sinking so low as to take away health care for the kids. Has there ever been a lower form that walks upright?

It was so supposed to rain here last night, but it didn't, and the air feels hot and stifling. I slept too late, and may have to go to the mall.

I was at a dinner last weekend hosted by a friend of ours. One of the older gentlemen at our table got to talking politics - and politicians. He was adamant that history will show that Clinton will be one of our greatest presidents, right up there with FDR. Well, I started to laugh right out loud, and nearly sprayed my wine all over the table. I was just choking. I didn't even need to say anything after that. Normally, I'm well-mannered at dinner parties, but this was too too much.

Well, I started to laugh right out loud, and nearly sprayed my wine all over the table. I was just choking. I didn't even need to say anything after that. Normally, I'm well-mannered at dinner parties, but this was too too much.

I was at my in-laws and I mentioned about Peter Jennings taking a pay cut and my brother in-law was upset because Peter Jennings has the best news coverage

I said Peter Jennings is a Socialist Pig .. the room got real quite after that ... hehe

That would do it for me. I have had similar experiences but I always feel handicapped and seldom pursue the discussion, I guess because I figure it is pointless to argue with anybody that would make such an assanine statement. They obviously aren't playing with a full deck.

No, having two memberships violates forum rules. You have heard of the forum rules, right, like the ones that strictly forbid following a poster to a different thread, and continuing an argument from the original thread. I do believe that if the other thread is not even on the news forum, this is a banning offence.

Threating to lynch, and commenting on how much one would enjoy the dance, is of course, just peachy in your book...

I did offer the opinion when I settled down that Clinton was exceptionally corrupt, and this guy started talking about mistresses! They all had mistresses! I replied that I WASN'T talking about mistresses, but corruption having nothing to do with mistresses, then changed the subject. No need to get indigestion. Ugh.

What I do care about is how he sold out nationaly security down the drain to the highest or in some cases lowest bidder
