Still overcast here. I'm watching Columbo and reading the thread about how Clinton just keeps sinking lower and lower as he rips the guts out of the almost non-existent Arkansas budget to build his monument to decadence, even sinking so low as to take away health care for the kids. Has there ever been a lower form that walks upright?

I was at a dinner last weekend hosted by a friend of ours. One of the older gentlemen at our table got to talking politics - and politicians. He was adamant that history will show that Clinton will be one of our greatest presidents, right up there with FDR. Well, I started to laugh right out loud, and nearly sprayed my wine all over the table. I was just choking. I didn't even need to say anything after that. Normally, I'm well-mannered at dinner parties, but this was too too much.
