Talk about the weather changing...all of a sudden, about 20 minutes ago, the sky got black as could be, and then it began to hail...it hailed for quite a while, and all the lawns were completely white, as if they had been snowed upon...then it poured rain for about 5 minutes...just poured...

All that rain melted a good deal of the hail...now the sun has come out and melted the rest of the hail...now its very sunny....weird, weird weather ....

They got snow in the convergence zone today...Didn't last, but it came down....lol...

we get tons and tons of it in summer, and we are low (maybe 2700 feet)

You are right about that, we seldom get lightening or thunder in these parts, down here in the lowlands...I am glad for that....

When we lived in North Carolina, we always had a lot of thunder and lightening....twice our house was hit...blew out our TVs, video games, and a few other things...we learned that whenever we were going out for the day, to unplug everything...we had about 30 very, very tall trees, and I think what happened is that the trees were hit, and the electrical charge ran down them, and through our house...

Sometimes those storms down there were so horrendous, I used to take the kids and hide in the very large walk in closet in the hall, until the hubby gave me the all clear signal...actually the kids were braver than me...they would try to stay with their dad, while their scaredy cat mom hid in the closet...little boys wanting to be big brave men like their daddy...

here in tucson the lightning sends all our motherboards to heaven
the next day we're all in office depot buyin' new puters
I have big surge suppressor on mine now
(my last puter went to heaven in lightning storm)
