since nobody's around on this beautiful Saturday afternoon
back in '95 I read a book channeled in by ArchAngel Uriel
who said he would send us big wind to help us in our awakening

Yes, indeed Helga was a talented thief...a very sweet dainty thief at that...she did not grab, or jump up, just very quietly and sweetly stole the cookies...

I love to read all the old Perry Mason mysteries as well...and I also love my Agatha Christie mysteries...could read them over and over again, even tho I know who done it...I have every single one of her mysteries, and even have doubles and triples of some of them, because as they reprint them, they change the covers...I love to scour old used book stores, and look for the older copies of the Christie novels...

Agatha Christie mysteries are pure joy for me
I like these Perry Masons cause they are so warm
Lulu is dainty eater too
I never thought how bassets are sweet and dainty
but it sure is true
it's part of their irresistable charm
Love, Palo

Good afternoon Palo...how is the new baby doing???

my brother brought my niece and nephew in for a little while this morning...Mr. Man slept while Miss Shy-Shy and I hit Home Depot for garden stuff...I got her started on a little garden of her own at the apt complex where they live..so today we bought some mini-gladiolas..and some seeds, sunflowers, columbines, baby's breath for her to add to her collection...it's cute because she has a mini version of my garden...she loves flowers...

I am hoping it is condensation and a little sun will dry out the smudge... Yes, it could be anywhere else on the lens and not be such a bother! Glad you enjoy the pics!

I don't think it is condensation
but I can't think of anything else which would account for it
maybe westy knows, he used to build aircraft

Yes, eagle watching is good Saturday pastime. The osprey cam that Westy gave us doesn't seem to be very exciting yet. Maybe later after there are eggs........

At first I thought the smudge was a raindrop or two but then I remembered that the camera is more or less hidden and has bark artfully placed around it so that the bored eaglets can't destroy it. And a raindrop would have evaporated by now. At least it seems to be getting thinner so we can sort of see thru it. Now I'm going and enjoy your horse and dog albums.

You would not think that bassets could be dainty, because they are so lumbering in their gait, and they have such thick leggies...but they can be dainty when they chose...

However, I must say, when Helga drank water, she was like a big old hog....she was the noisiest drinker I have ever heard...and she drank tons of water....and of course her long ears fell into her water bowl, so they were always getting wet, which I guess was a good thing, because all the water washed the slobber off her ears...Some bassets have lots of slobber, and Helga was one of those types...when she shook her head, slobber went flying all over...we had to duck so as to not get hit...ah well, all part of the charm of a basset...

I once read the musings of a woman who had several bassets, and she just loved them to death...she said, she was in a state of being perpetually surrounded by slobber and shed doggie fur...and she said for her it was 'heaven'...you truly have to love the basset breed, to put up with them...

She is acting funny isn't she? - I think she still had some leftovers from the fish that lil one is getting for lunch now. Fun to watch her feed the baby. When she kicks her head up she is either calling the mate or swallowing... what do you guys think? Pics in a bit if you missed it.
