bad Helga, bad bad Helga
Bill was able to extricate the rabbit from Lulu's mouth,
it was just traumatized and loaded with booboos
I saw that dummy morning dove waddle in, but it went to this room, where other bird was, other bird flew out open window
I thought it would have enuf sense to follow when Lulu appeared
but as you say, they like to hunt
I can understand why they just subsisted on dog biscuits for rest of day tho :)

This eaglecam is really exciting...even if we dont see the babies for a while, both the parents seem to be hovering around the nest, so now we have a chance to see both birds together...its really kind of cute, the way they are hovering, and being concerned...They are acting just like parents, both as a mom and dad should be...

Once the babies are able to tolerate food, we will see them, as the parents will be out constantly hunting for food for themselves and their babes...this is such great fun, and truly educational, for we are seeing nature at work...

Has anyone figgered out which is the momma or the poppa eagle? Those guys look identical to me.

I cannot tell mama eagle from papa eagle either...perhaps we need some sort of wildlife specialist to tell us which is which...

Oh, dear, you don't think the eagles are one of THOSE couples, do ya?? Say it ain't so!!

One time I saw them perched side by side. There was a noticeably difference in their size, but I don't know if the male is smaller like with falcons or not...Not much help is it....The bow ribbon for momma is best idea I've heard..

Hard to imagine a Killer Helga or LuLu ;-)Somewhat strange to think of the dopey looking basset as predator, though thinking of Helga scarfing down a bunny in a few gulps is very funny.Terrible table manners ;-)
