it sure is pretty basket of flowers
smooch ac
it is lovely the way they wound leaves over handle of basket like garland
it's like a Maypole basket, guess May Day is right around the corner now
Love, Palo

hi oki, desert is waking up
all the birds are twittering
sure is lovely
To: habs4ever; okimhere
sound and light are different on desert
we have accoustics like concert hall
each chirp and tweet is crystal clear
oki, Sun must be starting to rise in East
cause wisps of smoky clouds
are now all filled with peachy pink pearl luminescence

Good morning Sweetness - nice to see you today! ;-)
Can you put up a link to the eagle cam? My machines had to be changed out, and this one does not have the link. ;-(

Good morning Palo and Loddy.. Do you two remember what the African Queen looked like in the movie? I took this pic of this boat on the river where the movie was made. I wonder if it could be the one? Maybe not old enough?
To: grannie9
ooooh chickie what a beautiful photo
it is sheer enchantment
''African Queen'' used to be my favorite movie
I guessed it was made on location in Africa?
Love, Palo
To: ACnielsenguy

This is for you AC.. I know you like sailboats..;)
To: grannie9
yes, the boat looked like yours
(that's how I remember it anyway)
you did exquisite job of getting the reflection on water
we have no water on desert, so I am drinking in this beauty
To: palo verde
I thought the movie was made in Africa too, but no.. it was made right here on the Orange River.. It is a beautiful spot. I call it the Manatee River, because the tour boat takes your thru here to find Manatees.. I have never seen one on this river tho.. lol.. Everywhere else but here.. But I love to go there for it's beauty alone.. It is about 20 miles up river from where we go out..and six or seven bridges up..
To: palo verde

I will post what I did this morning and then stop using all the bandwidth.. I don't want AC or Mr's. Robinson to beat me.. lol
To: hairofthedog
hi hair
today might be the day
Love, Palo
To: palo verde

I love this picture... Now I will have to print some up.. I still have lots of bare walls.. lol
To: grannie9
hi chickie
so my favorite movie was made on your river
it figures :)
it's a wonderful river
Love, Palo
To: palo verde

Now I did them all.. I can now keep an Eagles eye out for the new fledglings with the rest of you.. I'm glad I got the new link.. I thought I had it bookmarked.. Maybe it's on Explorer..
To: palo verde
I think today is the day too... they seem restless don't they? And not settled on the nest like they were. I'll be watching! except for a few errands this morning.
To: grannie9
you took this pic this morning
it is a knockout
your pics are gettin' better
the first is lush and beautiful
but this one has quiet elegance
Love, Palo
To: palo verde
I loved that movie.. I will have to rent it sometime.. I wonder if it's out on DVD yet? Will have to check.. I loved those two.. Also Betty Davis movies.. and Cary Grant, and Jimmy Stewart.. All the old ones.. They don't make men and women like that anymore.. lol
Ahhhhh.. maybe a few good men.. ;) Huh? Like the ones we have on our thread.. Our Bogies, and our Grants and our Jimmys..
To: grannie9;palo verde
Super pic of the AfricanQueen - one of Mrs. lodwick's all time favorite flicks. Thanks for posting.
