I think of all the places he went to and people that he met, it was indeed the Tibetans that absolutely stole his heart....he said they were so dirty, so smelly, so poor, and yet so beautiful, so warm, so friendly, and so full of hope, in spite of great hardships of living and religious persecution by the Chinese...he really did admire the Tibetans...
I had always wanted to see Tibet, and never having had the chance, I am so glad that at least my son got there, and that he loved it there...he brought home many things from Tibet, for me, as he knew I would so appreciate such treasures...
And he has tons and tons of pictures of Tibet, of the scenery, and tons of pictures of the Tibetan nomads, especially the children, which he found to be irrestible...

the amazing thing bout AC is he is home everywhere
I saw it happen when we arrived as an exodus from Lcom
he joined us first day
the interesting thing is, when he did it, he made us feel at home on FR
loddy may have some of the same facility too
it's as if they are natural hosts

rofl rofl rofl
why am I not surprised
I think I'd enjoy it more if it were a luxurious hotel like loddy went to
with bubble bath, and shower gel, and lotsa fluffy towels
a bed big enuf for 4 people
and room service
(and a pool)

Shall we call AC the Concierge or Maitre d instead?? Same with Lod, too?

I hope you're not gonna serve me those frozen dinners you eat
I like lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs
with roll and butter on the side

I hope Westy does not send our Palo to Walla Walla Prison...its too rough there for our girl Palo...
When I was working in the nursing home, I had one resident who had only one arm...someone told me to ask him how he lost his arm, that he would be glad to tell me...so after I got to know this guy a little better, I asked him, how did he lose his arm...
He just grinned, and said, 'They shot it off, when I was trying to make my escape over the wall, at Walla Walla...
Rough place, so Westy if you catch our Palo breaking the law, send her to someplace nice...

Westy will probably serve you those army MREs...
To: andysandmikesmom
I read a series of books by a tibetan lama
it was interesting'
he knew how to talk cat
when he met a cat, the cat would tell him his whole life
To: andysandmikesmom
rofl rofl those MREs sounded yummy on campin' trip
but in westy's jail I'd prefer something more delicious
To: palo verde
And the punchline is?? what did the cat's talk about??LOL
To: andysandmikesmom
you are such a trip andysmom
you are only one I know who knows someone who tried to escape from Walla Walla
To: palo verde
You want to go to Club Fed.Better get caught in a big drug bust then ;-)
To: habs4ever

Those MREs are not bad, but not terrific...they really are good for campers, or cavers, or hunters, but a regular diet of them would not be a good thing...
Not to worry, if Westy serves you crap, send out a call, and I will make you up a lasagne...
At the nursing home, we would often have a pot luck in the middle of the night, and often people would bring their lasagne versions...then I brought mine...no one else ever again brought lasagne...they always requested my lasagne...I hate to brag on myself, my lasagne is one of my specialities...several inches high, and just plain delicious...
Whenever my son returned from college or from his world trip, or anytime when he would be gone from home for a while, he always put in a request for my lasagne, accompanied by hot french bread...so I will bake you a tasty lasagne, and also include a gun, and a file...

A one armed man, in prison?? Sounds like The Fugitive!!The last name wasn't Kimball was it??LOL
To: westmex
is that the Sheriff who makes his prisoners wear pink panties
that is is ok with me, I like pink panties
forget the green baloney tho, I want gourmet dinners like habs cooks
To: habs4ever
You are so funny...I never thought about that Richard Kimball connection
Well, he had two arms when sent to prison, but when he tried to escape, they shot him up so bad, that his arm had to be amputated, clear up to the shoulder...
To: palo verde
I figured that, but what about...do cats like dogs? do they like humans? those are the important things to know ;-)Do they really hate us??LOL
To: westmex
forget habs' dinners
I want andysmom's lasagna
